three things that i wanted to see if you guys could clarify for me.
1. golem windmill seems to be invincible to explosions (sulfur spiders, exploding skeletons, sahagins etc). A player will still be hurt by explosions while in their wm spinning animation but not golems. This mechanic is wierd though, because golems will be invincible to the explosions they set off themselves, but once my golem was still in its spinning animation, and a party member set off another explosion with their golem, and mine was still hurt by the explosion.
Some of my friends tell me that golem windmill is a completely different skill than player windmill, kind of like golem stomp and giant stomp. Does anyone know how exactly its different? Does the aggro reset work the same?
2. When you cast thunder, there are a couple of seconds where you are linked to the enemy by a bolt of electricity. So far ive noticed that during this time you can't play dead. Are there any other implications for this standby status?
3. Ive heard the term focus mentioned a few times around the forums and it is apparently different from aggro. How long does it take for a monster to shift from focussed state to aggro? If i swipe an enemy with my pet, how long do i have to wait to desummon it so that the enemy will go into neutral state instead of returning to aggroing me.

1. Actually, golem windmill is just like the players'. However, their windmill radius can be bigger than the explosion, so the spiders get knocked far enough away so that the golem isn't hit.
3. Focus is when there's a single red exclaimation mark above a fomor's head. You can notice this with spiders, laghodessas, and gargoyles. This happened when you have something already aggroing you of the same type, and not every fomor actually has this intermediate state. The wiki lists the aggro times for fomors, but they'll aggro you automatically if you attack it while it hasn't aggroed something else by then, though there are a few exceptions.

In the thunder standby time, you can't change weapons :P

My golem once died in mid windmill from an explosion, I think.

I'm pretty sure the golem is invincible from its own windmills. Even wming explosive skeletons in a corner doesn't kill the golem, even when the explosion hits my char that is much farther away.

You can if you lightning bolt.
Not sure about other bolts, since I don't use them.

Not exactly.
From experience, when I kill exploding monsters with windmill, I get hit by the explosion and knocked back. When my golems kill exploding monsters with windmill, nothing happens to them at all, no matter what.
