Got an adv?

  This is the question I get asked most frequently by 90% of my buddylist, by people who I don't even remember adding. No hi, no greeting of any kind, just straight to the point and asking for what they want.
  
  Usually this warrants them an automatic delete. I probably do have an adv feather, but unless you're doing something important like a superhard solo generation quest and you have made substantial progress in the SM, I'm not going to waste it on someone who ignores my existence and only talks to me when they need something from me. o-o
  
  Anyway, discuss? owo What would you do in this situation? Doesn't have to be only regarding adv feathers, it can apply to anything they ask for.

  I usually keep one or two feathers around for friends or guildies, and I don't mind checking the house board or using a little nx to get one if you're, say, fighting Urobourous and there's one head left and you're close to being done. I might even spare two feathers if you're unlucky.
  
  However, if I don't know you or if you're being annoying in asking for one I'll probably lie and say I don't have any.
  
  I know this one player who typed in all caps looking for adv feathers, I remember the story was a little like this:
  
  Them: RAVE!!!!
  
  Them: I NEED ADV FEATHER
  
  Them: DO YOU HAVE?
  
  Me: Let me check.
  
  Me: I do. Hold on.
  
  Me: What channel?
  
  Them: CH4 HURRY!!!
  
  Me: *feathers*
  
  Two mins later...
  
  Them: I NEEDA NOTHER ONE!! RAVE!!!
  
  Me: Ok fine. *feathers*
  
  Three mins later...
  
  Them: OMFG
  
  Them: MATA KEEP KILLING ME
  
  Me: Wait you're doing Mata? It takes like 5 mins to get back to him if you die.
  
  Them: YEAH BUT I DUN WANNA LOL
  
  Them: CAN I HAVE FEATHER NOW?
  
  Heh, I didn't even get reimbursed for wasting my gold, or even a thank you. :P

  asides from that situation, i only ask for adv feathers reaaaaaaaally in last case mainly because of this

  I always do this if I know I'm gonna be doing something difficult. Heck I even give out reg feathers and bandages if I'm doing poorly in a dungeon.
  
  I only use adv feathers for close friends and guildies.

  I'm iffy with my NX. Like a Nao Soul Stone is a better deal than an Advanced Feather.
  
  At the same time, 50k for 1 Advanced Feather (which was a while ago) is a wallflower in the player shop window.

  true, though im saying this because what happened to me once. A friend asked me for one advanced feather. I had no nx at that moment neither feathers, since it was during the chest event there was a nice flow of adv feathers so thought about looking for one in hch

  If someone asks me this and nothing else you get deleted. If someone asks me this once a week, every week, they get deleted. If someone I've known a long time needs it, no problem. But the truth is that most of the players who ask for these (not all mind you) are self absorbed spoiled teens who never say thanks or send back a feather or money or anything. When I ask for them I make sure someone gets at least a feather back.
  
  Also gold price to buy NX only works for people who buy all their nx in game. If a feather is only worth 20k gold/nx ratio and they buy the nx in real life because they cannot afford it in game, asking them to spen thier nx is worth alot more than someone who's rich in game and buys it in game.

  lol, I do this too. Those people who never talked to me or invite me to anything, and then suddenly ask me for an advance feather, I just delete them, and tell them don't have any despite having stacks of adv feathers in my pet.
  
  Whenever a guild/friend I trust ask me adv feather, I always make them promise they pay me a feather back. Not NX nor gold, but a feather. If they don't pay me back, that friend/guildie loses my trust.

  I'm okay with adv-ing a close friend or guildie, but there are different levels for guildies. I will adv a senior member without a second thought because I know they are all responsible and trustworthy. They would do the same for me, so I don't even bother asking for a feather back.
  
  But seriously, if you're running Shadow Warrior, and you die at the first or second orb? Rez at town and start over.

  I only advance feather someone on my list if they promise to replace it, unless they're a close friend/guildie. But my close friends and guildies never really ask for advance feathers so ya

  I have people who a long time ago may have talked to me, who will only talk to me again to ask for a feather. If they do this, I'll delete.
  
  Usually, though, I don't have NX for the people I WOULD rez. If it's someone I talk to but they start asking too often, I tell them to stop, and if they don't, they're gone.
  
  Every time a new generation comes out, I change my status to "I don't have advanced feathers" even if I MIGHT. Those are for close friends only.
