Well, from a pure melee paladin human, I am now a Melee/Range Hybrid
and heck I am enjoying Range despite of my lame dex..
my base dex is only ~130
LIFESKILLS ARE A NO NO FOR A LAZY LIKE ME :pissedoff:
but yeah. i have managed to finish refining (r2 fails only.. lol lazy)
but weaving? gimme quadruple rainbow QQ..
My Current Skill Set affecting my Range Capabilities:
R1 Range
R9 Arrow Revolver (fail.. -.-)
R1 Crit
RA Production Mastery
RF Magnum/Support Shot
R2 Refine
so im planning to R5 my AR then R1 my Prod Mastery then R1 AR
then Magnum Shot to R1 and maybe Support Shot to R1 if i can..
and R8 my First Aid for some dex..
is this a good plan? any better path? :what:
____________________________________________
My current weapon is an Enchantless White Ring Bow (yay white)
228 build (yes i know QQ.. i just want damage and crit at the same time)
I usually do Arrow Revolver Spam and WM of course when fighting..
and the heck.. my damage is so ridiculous even only on Int SM's
for i only got 30.7% Crit which is terrible.. ~40-~100 damage on Int SM monsters (EPIC FAIL)
so what weapon should i have..
Lizard Caliburn 118 Ring Bow?
Lizard Caliburn 230 Ring Bow?
Lizard Caliburn 190 Xbow?
Lizard Caliburn 203 Xbow?
or Lizard Caliburn is such a crap impossible idea? other reasonable enchants or upgrade path? other weapons?
(i like ring bow and xbow weapons cause it has a pure white color unlike LLB's or other bows..
so color is a factor LOL)
on a side note: I dont want to have Ego weapons.. im sick of them sorry.. D:
I need critical hits moar and i've just realized it because my lame raw damage is such a QQ
because of my laziness resulting to not to work hard to gain moar dex via life skilling..
so critical hit is what i need right now..
Am I lost? :T_T:
Thank You Very Much.. :D

Get Refine to 1 since the +10 dex from 2->1 is really noticeable. Then just raise whatever you think you should raise, with Weaving along the side for balance and damage.
I'd personally do R7 AR->R1 Prod->R1 Magnum->R1 AR. R1 SS and R8 FA can be done alongside your main skills since they aren't uber AP sucks, but just *****es to train.
And I personally use a Lizard Revolver maxed out Crit Xbow, since I can pull off ~140% crit while using general damage gear.

There's alternatives for weaving for dex. Ofc you wont get as much but you still can get a quite bit
Playing instrument and 1st aid are easy to rank and give decent dex. Also doubt you can't get your weaving at least to A

R7 Arrow Revolver why not R5? is that a good cap for it? 140%?? thats O_O.. but how i wish i can activate the revolver enchant since its requirements are
life skills QQ.. and i would rather train support shot than weaving.. collecting together with % succeeding is so bad for me.. but no lovely dex D:

R7 is when you can load and begin to aim AR during WM animation.

Your skill planning seems fine. Can't really go wrong throwing AP in different skills. Since you are an archer, AR and Magnum are your important skills. Try investing in Crash Shot as well. It may or may not be good for you.
Revolver enchant is still good without the +20 dex on it because of the critical rate. Usually, you want as much critical rate as possible for bows unless you are confident that you have at least 30% critical on the monsters you are/will be fighting.

Without serious life-skilling your range will always be far behind your melee, which is fine if you only plan to use it situationally, recreationally or to complement your melee tactics... If you're really set against life skills, there's still a lot of dex you can get from combat skills and equipment.
I'd recommend to finish ranking all the +dex combat skills you are working on, touch playing instrument/first aid and other easy life skills and start working on a range equipment set.
Crossbows are great for humans if you want crit and mobility, but definitely look into upgraded Long Bows instead of the Ring Bow if you want a well-balanced mix of damage, range and critical.

I would actually recommend you get rank 1 magnum before everything else. It will give you much better DPS, and rank 9 arrow revolver is more than enough to keep enemies are bay.

oh.. but they say the 30% aim speed bonus on r5 is a great kick to it? :D

oh i forgot.. i have RF Crash Shot.. i always use it on rafting.. OHKO when critical.. very helpful.. but the AP requirements.. o_o
is there a Revolver White Xbow available on auctions? lol r3 enchant is epic.. and sorry for being a fashionoger 'cuz of the color white requirement.. <- fail emoticon on quick reply method lol

will i ever bother rank Counter Attack for dex? is that worth it? i mainly use WM for countering or pets though.. but well it is easy to train than weaving..
wow i need like thousands of AP for this QQ

Magnum Shot is great.. but i often miss even on point blank ~90% aiming.. then im dead x_x
and one more thing is the additional dex can be acquired only on later ranks.. and i hate how they ate my stamina..
but yeah.. the damage is great when on critical hit.. only if it is not missing for like 30% of the time.. D:

Counterattack is a nice source of dex when you've r1'd all other ranged skills... as for Magnum Shot and Crash Shot, it'd be in your interest to rank them as soon as possible, since they will be your only way of dealing real damage against stronger enemies.
As for misses, you can survive them by using mana shield/barrier spikes or pets to stun your targets... otherwise, shooting from a safer distance is often enough to let you load another ranged attack.

Why not do any handicraft or tailoring? There are actually life skills other than refining and weaving... yet all I ever see here are those 2 ever mentioned.
you could probably get those up to rA or somewhere around there fairly easily and fast.
Also playing instruments lol.
Also, blacksmith to rE or something lol
That'd be like an extra 20 dex at least for a pretty low amount of ap too.

There are cheaper enchants with +10 crit and without the +6% repair cost

gunny, you're going to at least have to get to 300 Dex if you want to see true Human Ranged DPS.
Don't worry too much about the harder Life skills like Weaving if you can't do it, for now. If you need some fast and easy Dex, work on First Aid to cap and Cooking to r8 (although it eats quite a bit of AP).
You can work on Metallurgy and Metal Conversion too. Those two have higher AP (not by much) costs than Weaving, but are easier. Besides your Ranged skills, the other combat skills that you can raise for Dex are Combat Mastery, Counterattack, and Evasion. All on average AP cost to r1. All these Dex add up fairly well and quick.
For your Ranged path, I wouldn't worry too much about getting AR to r1. It's great, but I usually find rF to be sufficient for me. Though, if you want, get your AR rank to a point where you can reliably load it while in WM's spinning animation. Magnum/Crash Shot shall be your hard-hitting skills for Ranged, much like Smash/Windmill. Support Shot, eh... It usually has a low priority to be ranked, unless you want that Dex. It's like a Windmill-training-esque Ranged skill, except doesn't have anywhere close to its utility.
Your bows. I think for now, Crossbow will be your safe bet for scoring Criticals if you're looking for that. Lizard and Revolver are then your staple Critical Crossbow enchants. For your Ring Bow, seek out Glorious and Delusional (Fancy) enchants; this bow will more likely be your backup bow for damage.

if your too lazy to do lifeskills forget doing range. You will disapoint yourself. Instead go melee and use glads or dragon blades as your main weapons.
Range without sufficient Dex is useless past level 300 (HM dungeons and adv+ missions)
Sufficient = 300+ dex
For hard level missions your going to want 400+
Honestly, learn to love lifeskilling. You'll become rich if you do it right.
Skills that don't need much dex>>>Magic = 0, melee = 120+, Alchemy = 0
Btw Mid-High Level Alchemist Elfs are incredible. (3k-6k+) The speed advantage they have makes me very jelous at times. I would probrably trade my human for a equal level elf (since new enchants allow Elfs to tank too, reactive, Clover someone can get 40def /40 prot with mana reduction) with my skillsets.
