Heat Buster, or Frozen Blast?

  Rank F Heatbuster I crit around 1500 on a black grizzly bear with tower cylinder... comprende? an aquantance i met who had rank 1 AM and rank1 HB no fire enchants did ... 8500-8800 crit... now do that on a ice ele monster :/

  That's if you get a critical though. Usually SM mobs have too much protection it's hard to get a 30% critical rate... Unless you have enchants of course.

  so even if it doesnt do 8500-8800 either way crit is affected by prot except magic now since the whole thing is based on alchemy either way HB will do more w/o a crit then smash would and even then.. freeze then heat buster is even more effective but less reliable because of a potential failure but of course not many would risk it mid fight (its more a starter move)

  That's not exactly true. I've been able to use heat buster after throwing up walls and using frozen blast.

  Personally I think I'll go with Heatbuster since I spam Water Cannon so much. But atm I have too many things on my skill list to worry about it xD
