Earlier my LCD monitor (ViewSonic VA2213w) was making weird crackling sounds (like interference, but it can't be that because there are no appliances that could be interfering). It did it for about 5-10 minutes then stopped (as of writing this post, it hasn't done it at all). While it was doing it, it seemed to react a bit to my hand going near it. Is it static?...or is my monitor dying :T_T:
Edit: I've checked the power cords and everything, would it be because of humidity (its Summer in Australia, and it has rained the past few days and gone back to hot...and really humid)? It just did it while I was making sure the power cord was in properly, only did it once though. (at least there will be after-Christmas sales...if I have to get a new monitor).

You tried leaving it off and unplugged for a while?

I haven't tried that, mainly because it seems to have stopped now. If it starts doing it again, I'll do that.
