What's the point? Right now I spam 3hit smash because it works better for getting gliding fury, which does the most damage. I don't like Thousand needles at all (not as round AOE, less damage), and supposedly a 16 stamina shockwave is supposed to reconcile the skill, but unless it can trigger gliding furies, I don't see the point.
Enlighten me :(

It can trigger gliding fury. It also gives you a second chance for knockdown. Since Thousand Needles is probably Lann's highest knockdown skill, this is somewhat useful as well.

It actually has its uses.
Take a look at r9's AOE's vertical prowess.

Also, higher ranked thousand needles are pretty good at wiping out things when you're bored.
The arc around it is much, much wider than the 3rd smash.
(Also, since gliding and lightning are kinda capped atm, at r9 and rA, who knows which will be more efficient later on)

i uses sword lann
at first i also use LLLR a lot
but i realize mob control is so much easier with r9 thousand + crit hit mastery
take example at red sentinel, u can easily stagger them with thousand > shockwave > gliding fury
and taking aside all the knockdown rate and damage
when u finish the combos (thousand, shock, glide, lightning fury) somehow i felt so awesome inside :P
