I have an Acer Aspire X3200 with 4 GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce 9300 chipset, and the game still crawls at 30 FPS out of battle.
When I'm fighting (this is worst when I"m spear lann spinning into objects), the FPS can fall lower than 10, usually resulting in my getting killed. This is in solo play; it gets worse with other players (just b/c of network lag), but it shouldn't be this bad soloing...
Again, ALL of my settings are at the LOWEST. I'm using Direct X 8.0 settings as well, and it's still managing to be EXTREMELY slow. I've defragmented etc. but it's really done nothing.
Could anyone good with computers help me out?

check to see if you may be missing some drivers

Try elevating the priority of vindictus.exe in the task manager. That usually does the trick for me, though I've heard mixed results from this. For some it makes the game run smoother, for others it lags it more, so just try it and see which category you fall under. I use an Acer Aspire 6920 with 4GB Ram, Nvidia GeForce M9500 GS, with a 2.20 GHz Core 2 Duo Processor, in case that helps you in any way >_>

Oh, poor you. You go below 30 FPS on Minimum! D: D: D:
Sarcasm aside, I feel your pain. Currently, I run an Acer Aspire 5315-2290, with even worse specs. Personally, I consider you lucky to get 30 FPS, but there isn't exactly anything you can do to raise specs.

Nothing should be going wrong, but I'm going along with the 'update your drivers' post.

I'm just wondering. I thought my computer was capable, but is it simply bad hardware?

Is your computer capable of running Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, or Half Life 2 at a comfortable frame rate? If not, then it's unlikely that you can run Vindictus, since they all use a similar source engine I think? >_> Though Vindictus is a heavily modified version of the source =x

If you can run TF2 on decent settings, you can easily run Vindi on lowest.
Hell, if you can run Mabi on max, you can run Vindi on lowest.

Your hardware is kind of weak. And it's funny that spear lann is pretty taxing on my midrange GPU as well. Especially when like 2 or 3 of them are spinning at the same time and I'm hosting -.-
I have the game maxed though except for AF @ 4x.
