I love Staff Evie because in all MMO's I aim for the classical Mage Route with the whole wielding of the Staff or Wand thing and casting all sorts of magic pawnage on my enemies :kill:

I'll have to go with Sword Fiona as my easiest character to play. Something about her play style just clicked with me. I find things that require the dodging game much harder >_>I find Spear Lann to be the most difficult, because his moves are way too flashy and cause me to fail at aiming his gliding fury skills when they do go off x_x

Spear Lann is way too easy and good. He can dodge and punish bosses extremely well due to his speed, manueverability, and insane damage. Not hard at all.

Having played all three characters to 38 - 44, I find it varies depending on the dungeon and bosses, but generally Evie is the easiest and fastest for me. She's also the most fun because of her versatility and large difference between styles.
Lann (38, approx. 7000 AP, full Blood Prince +2 and Executioner +5/Blade of Ykesha +3):
He starts out rather weak, but once he gets Gliding Fury he becomes a lot more powerful. I use spear just because it's faster and more effective for me. He can clear a room of enemies very quickly with either Gliding Fury or by spinning. Being able to spin around bosses' attacks while doing damage can be useful, especially if he goes under them. However, this doesn't work well with some bosses (ones that move fast, for example) and his lack of stun abilities can really hurt. AP wise, I find that sword Lann requires a lot of AP to be effective, whereas spear Lann does not.
Fiona (44, approx. 13000 AP, full Spider Lord and Ainle Longsword +5/The Capricorn):
Counterattack is extremely effective (and fun) against some bosses. I find it easiest to solo Blood Prince using Fiona. The big downside to Fiona is that her attacks are very slow, even though they are powerful. I get interrupted in the middle of attacks noticeably more often than with the other characters, so it is much easier to be punished when I make mistakes with her. In groups, most enemies are killed by other Lann or Evie players before I can finish a few swings with both swords or hammers, making me feel useless except against bosses that I can counterattack or stun.
I always try to place myself between the boss and my party so that I can protect them and counter, but I find that it's more difficult to stun bosses in the 4th boat due to lack of counterable attacks and enemies having seemingly high stun resistance, even with Shield Bash at rank A, Counterattack at rank 9 and Smash Mastery at rank 8. The other problem with Fiona is that she relies very heavily on both gear and AP, so it takes a long time to get her up to scratch compared to the other characters.
Evie (44, approx. 16000 AP, full Rose Drop and Crescent Moon +5/Watchtower +5):
Staff Evie is kind of slow against regular enemies, mainly because of the Firebolt cooldown and repeated Magic Arrow's massive stamina usage. However, I find most bosses easy to kill because of her nuking potential as well as the ability to use quick heals. Almost every non-raid boss in Hard solo dies instantly to her Firebolt x2 + Blind Arrow x2 barrage. With scythe and Bloody Thread, I can wipe out large amounts of enemies insanely quickly, and I find it only takes 2 - 6 Bloody Threads to kill most bosses, even when they attack in groups.
Need I even mention Mana Shield, Bilnk, wisp or golem? They are things the other characters don't have that make Evie even easier to play. Evie also seems to be the most effective with the least AP usage. I only recently began to put AP into any of her scythe abilities, and was still tearing everything apart beforehand.
I must say that it's frustrating that my other characters can't hold a candle in strength or usefulness to my Evie. When I do the dailies, I always start with Fiona because I know that after trudging through her battles slowly, I'll be able to rip through them with Lann and then Evie afterwards. As the next new character like Evie once was, I'm expecting Karok to be even more overpowered. Sorry about the wall of text :P

However the only exclusive maneuvers he has are spin and a long roll.
He does get to attack while moving but he can neither block, slip dash, or move a very large distance quickly.
His insane damage also relies on Fury Infusion to boost his critical hit and damage (as well as full stamina) but it also forces you to stay at very low HP if you use it throughout a whole battle without stopping to use a potion.
He's not that much harder but he really doesn't have anything going for him in terms of safety.
You have to be pretty careful and consistent when using him.

So I'm thinking the consensus is that Scythe Evie = the easiest?
We have two votes for Fiona, two votes for Lann, and everyone else, including me, has voted Evie. Hmm.
I wonder if this will change as later patches come out? I know esp. in recent patches, Scythe evies haven't received any new skills.

His description even labels him as an easy character to use.
What his description says is irrelevant. All three characters are easy to use-- not so much to master. Look, for instance, at the Lanns that get used as mops by hard-hitting bosses, Evies who think they're tanks, and Fionas who don't grasp the concept of Heavy Stander.

I'd change my vote to Fiona as the easiest if we were on Boat 7 right now, since she can take no damage at all while everyone else will die after a misclick :(
And I'd label Sword Lann as hardest later on since timing for Slip Dash is kinda hard.

Out of what I played, Sword Lann was the easiest... which I why I don't play him anymore. From what I've seen, Spear Lann is even more mindless, but since I haven't personally played it I'd have to go with Sword.

I'd say Scythe Evie. The range and damage is nice, not to mention the finishers.
Fiona: SLOOOOW
Lann: FAAAAAAAAAST
Staff: Boring.
