Archer. Hopefully DevCat will add some job-only benefits to related skills in a future update. Not entire skills or equipment (...before people freak out) but there should be some skill-related stat bonus.
As of now, I wouldn't even call it a job or class system. Free stats are nice, but it's pretty lame.
Agreed.
And Ima be a Wizard.

The free stats a pretty nice welcome considering we'll be getting double the amount of the stat we want every rebirth.

Knight. Hands down. But I think it is total BS that giant skills don't count. Call me crazy, but aren't giants THE melee race?!?

They need to add the cons to each job again. Perhaps not the skills but stats should be crippled. Now there is really no reason to be an adventurer other than bragging rights.
To answer, alchemist, due to not needing the skill ranking for archery, stamina is an asset to me, and if i was getting ready for a specific hard-level dungeon, I'd go archer before that.

Alchemist, might go between that and Archer, dabbing back into Archer so i can be a support roll with Support Shot.

I couldn't agree more. I think that would the cons would make the game way more interesting. Now it is just OP.

But most end game dungeons require being able to do multiple things... limiting one for the sake of another to that extent wouldn't be worth it... and so everyone would opt to not have a job... that's what kr complained about with the original system lol.
I'd prefer to have this or nothing at all. Imo class systems are stupid... it's why I like how mabi works as is to begin with.

Knight. I think cons would be nice. Not on the extent of losing skills or access to sets. But like a % reduction in damage on polar opposite skills of your class.

I'm going to alternate between Knight and Archer.

Time to mentally prepare myself for the shock that comes with the adv. magic amd blaze nerfs.
Hopefully being a wizard class will provide enough int to make up for the nerf with the new damage formula.
By the way, is there any elemental mastery that buffs Blaze?
