I have a problem with my client.
Ever since the April 28 maintenance, my Pleione Engine loads very slowly. This means that whenever I move my mouse, I freeze up until I stop moving it. This has never happened before, only on rare occasions. Before, it would load quickly and I would be lag free. Also, I've noticed that the game is noticeably laggier than before, even if I don't move my mouse. My computer only has 512mb of RAM, but it ran perfectly before.
Specs:
Dell Latitude D600
Processor: x86 Family 6 Model 13 Stepping 6 GenuineIntel ~599 Mhz
RAM: 512mb
OS: Windows XP
I've tried defragging and reinstalling. Nothing works.
Osay says it might have to do with G9, but I think that's not true.
Also, it usually takes my mabi about 3 minutes to start up, but even before when I didn't have my problem, it was like this, so that's normal for me.
Halp :T_T: Osay can't piece together the puzzle completely, and I'm awaiting Kitaek's reply.

Unfortunately, I don't really know.
I don't believe its the client, but rather something else going on in your computer. Do a full scan to make sure you have no unwanted problems.
Your computer specs aren't exactly the best either, so its probably contributing. Nexon is well known for doing something to the client and making it lag with only certain users.
The information you've provided doesn't exactly give enough any idea of whats going on, and if Osayidan doesn't know, I don't know ._.

Answer these things and it might narrow it down:
- Is this only on the login screen where it says pleion engine loading?
- if not, is it in any map of the game or just some (i.e: iria, tara places)
- have your graphic settings of mabi been changed? with your specs they should all be on minimum, or close to it.
- Other than mabi do you have anything else running when you play? especially something new that you installed since the 28th.
- how much free space left on your hard drive?
- In task manager what CPU % is mabi using, and how much RAM? (check this after having checked that the graphic settings are all minimum, including color at 16bit)

For now, since it's late, I can only answer some of them.
* It starts freezing when I move my mouse as of when the login screen comes up.
* They are ALL at minimum.
*Nope, nothing running.
* 23.6gb/35.8gb left. (Laptop)
* In task manager what CPU % is mabi using, and how much RAM? (check this after having checked that the graphic settings are all minimum, including color at 16bit) I'll check this some other day since I don't have time now.
Edit: Scanned using McAfee online scan, Kaspersky free scan and one last popular brand. All came up clean.

Your CPU isn't good enough :S Min req is : Intel Pentium3 800GHz
What kind of Video Card do you have? :o
and are you using other programs while playing Mabi?(Browsers count too) If so your CPU probably can't handle it.
You can try using
Game Booster too it pretty much closes most background programs to make your games run faster

MEGAhertz?
That's one ancient machine if it uses MEGAhertz.
And your RAM is terrible.

But apparently it handled mabi just fine until very recently. So unless the latest update has some sort of minor memory leak that no one with a better system will notice, it's unlikely to be the specs. Unless he installed something that's now hogging up all the resources.

Maybe his laptop is so old that it's gonna die soon! :o
edit: Just been thinking about it maybe the files for the game are getting too big for his laptop to handle

Lol... clean your laptop more often xD If you told us that you never really clean it this would have been much faster xD

Mabinogi hates vista users, sorry.
Did you try using an optimization program?
I'm using a registered version of Auslogics Boostspeed and CCleaner, they're a great combination for freeing up space.
