  Whatever meaning people give to words, that's their true meaning. Fag means cigarette in a lot of places, partially because faggot could sound offensive to some people.

  Faggot doesn't even really mean gay anymore, hell, gay doesn't even mean "gay" anymore, as we see with the "homophobia is gay" campaign. Even gay people use the word faggot as a insult.

  For slang, the countries associated with the British empire use both faggot and the shortened term fag to refer to cigarettes and homosexuals. Unlike many of you, I know this as a fact because it's actually a part of my everyday language. Either way, TC fail.
