  That what you care about.
  What I care about is the thread not being something like, "Hi, I'm _____. I hope I'll have a good time here." "Welcome" "Welcome" "Welcome". Thread dead. I'd rather it be "crowded with conversation outside of the OP" who stopped replying early in the thread.
  
  And to say "You carry the conversation somewhere else or stop it" isn't making anything better.
  I don't want to sound nasty, but I'd rather a thread stay alive and somewhat interesting than be a bunch of robotic copy/paste welcomes.
