Mabinogi and Maplestory are the only Nexon games I can play Q-Q. But I still do like my fps', my rts' and my rpg's.
I don't see any fun in Maplestory.
And what's DWO?

You just described every MMORPG except Mabinogi, including WoW.
WoW isn't free.
And I mostly meant Wizard 101 and those other kid games.
Fusionfall is another. I liked them but......

It's certainly possible to play Mabinogi for free, after all, you don't really need pets to move around if you have a flier network for Uladh and all the mana tunnels for Iria. Other than that, there's not much problem. Still, with all the benefit pets give you, I wouldn't play it for free lol. Not to mention, rebirthing once a week, hehe.
Honestly, even after sticking with this character for nearly 2 years now (basically 21 months), Mabinogi still keeps surprising me. The better I get, the more there is in store for me. Which isn't what I find happens in other MMORPG's, in those you only run into bigger problems as you get better, in fact I've heard that once you get to a certain point in MapleStory it can take you a whole MONTH to level up! Just once! What kind of joke is that??
No, because you see in Mabinogi the further I get the more doors open up for me. Ok, so I don't want to work on just archery? No problem! You can pick from 3 other attacking styles, each of which works quite differently and all of which can be fun to use. Granted, being an elf, my melee is pretty much ****ed. Well, even then. 2 other attacking styles is still great. Not to mention you can use skills from different styles together.
Also, the graphics may not be the best, but I can tell you for sure... They are way better than the graphics in most other MMORPG's. In almost every single 3D MMORPG out there, they try to look too realistic and fail and it looks ugly as mess. Vindictus is one of the few that did it right. Mabinogi did it differently by trying to make it more anime-style than realistic, and being an anime-tard myself... That was just one more selling point for me.
Granted, I do like Vindictus, but I still like Mabinogi much more.

While I still play bunches of other games, Mabi's definitely the best MMO I've ever played.
I have brief periods of not playing though, so it could be replaced if I tried.

it still ticks me off that a certain game claims to be the 'best free to play MMO'.
They ALL do that. Just like how movie commercials claim "The best movie of all time" Or "The best movie of the year"
Its just to get you to see/play it.

Well that's gonna change soon.
So it's gonna suck balls.
Then again, we're gonna see a lot of people mastering skills quicker....
And knowing Nexon, they'll release an item that allows you to change jobs while retaining the last job's skills or some crap :l

It is hard for Mabinogi to ruin Starcraft 2 for me since it is a different game type. However, it does kill all other MMORPGs though.
This. Totally.
I don't play starcraft but the only games safe are games of a different type. Even a lot of console games get boring as hell now due to it. I swear the only game i can play anymore aside to Mabi are skateboarding games... that's a scary thought.

Mabinogi has no character cap. Other MMOs do.
Mabi's combat and skill system = Awesome.
And this is the cause of it.
My girl's family is obsessed with PWI and I can't stand playing that game for more than 30min tops. They cal mabi the "little girl" game and all i think in my head is come on to mabi and hell I'll lend you a strong character to try and duel me with. Try and do the generations the way you play PWI and you'll be getting a shock.
Honestly I have found that the "pros" of Mabinogi are ex "pros" of other MMOs such as WoW and other "big boy" MMOs. It's made me reverse the theory my girl's family has. PWI is for the beginners and Mabi is for the pros. If they bring out Mabi 2 with nice graphics but retain the rest of Mabinogi in it... then we'll see who plays the "little girl" game, lol.

@kNocturn: You mean the Job system? That's not a very big deal, you don't even lose anything by picking a job, and you can change it again every time you rebirth. IMO, there's no downside to it at all. In fact, I can't wait for Jobs, it will make skill training much easier.

Actually the game that ruined other MMOs for me was FFXI (Not to be confused with the garbage remake FFXIV). IX had the best crafting system I have EVER SEEN in an MMO, and I've played a lot of them since I departed that game. However Mabinogi has one thing going for it that crushes almost every other MMO out there right now, both free and paid... Namely the clothing customization system. There are very very very few games out currently that offer such a wide selection and color options to both paid and free players that has caused me to be hypercritical of every other game I've played now (And ended up being a major reason I refused to play Vindictus).
That said, I agree with the uniqueness of the combat system and the way skills are done. SMT:Imagine seemed like a hybrid between Mabi and Pokemon but the inability to lock onto targets and the level cap that forced you to pick a path instead of branch out and explore was frustrating but the only other MMO I've found recently with a more 'freestyle' combat system. There's certainly been other systems with their own quirks and gimmiks here and there but I honestly havnt really seen anything worth playing more than a few weeks in a while.
I do however 'playtest and review' a lot of games for my friends who see things and want my opinion rather than some gaming magazine with people who get paid to say good things. The next two games to try on my list are Battleswarm and Craft of Gods. I'm told reviews called them both terrible. Then again, due to the learning curve, a lot of reviewers have said mabi is 'terrible' too. :p We'll see how it goes.

I never was given full facts, so I was ignorant to the changing at rb.
