[Alexina] How we can correct the hideous lag.

  Recently a friend of mine who played Vindictus has brought it to my attention that they were actually able to get Nexon to do something. The players were unhappy with the number of tokens and so for several days, the first five pages of the forums were filled with people complaining about it. In the end, Nexon did give them more tokens.
  
  So here's what we (as a server) can do to get Nexon's attention.
  
  

  • Whenever there's spawn lag lasting longer than thirty to fourty seconds, post a ticket and post in the Mabinogi Technical Support forum on the Nexon forums (Make sure to include you're from Alexina).
    
    
  • Whenever you find yourself rubber banding for longer than fifteen seconds, post a ticket and post in the Mabinogi Technical Support forum on the Nexon forums (Make sure to include you're from Alexina).
    
    
  • Every time you crash, post a ticket and post in the Mabinogi Technical Support forum on the Nexon forums (Make sure to include you're from Alexina).
    
    
  • Make a thread about the lag in the Alexina forums, making them here is fine, but Nexon doesn't look here to the best of my knowledge. Even if someone else has made a thread, make another one. Make some on the Technical Support also.
    
    
  • Encourage you guildies to make threads as well. The more the merrier.

  
  
  We've all spent money on our characters and we've all invested time into this game. The fact that Nexon just blows us off like this is not a good thing. We need to let ourselves be heard, it worked for the Vindictus players, it'll work for us too.

  Yes, but Mabinogi has been around for two or three years and if Korea is any indication, it will be around for more years. Mabinogi is already making them money, so they should keep it up and running properly. Don't just think up excuses like 'Well Vindicky is new, of course they care'. They're players of a Nexon game, just like us. We just have to make it hard for Nexon not to listen to us.

  We've seen in the past that the Mabi PR team doesn't give a rat's ass about what we have unless everyone in Alexina boycotts, in which case, unless you also get support from other servers, won't mean much and could potentially end up just getting rid of Alexina to make more room for the Vindictus servers. Spamming tickets can work to get their attention, but posting on the Nexon forums doesn't mean much to them. Sorry to be pessimistic, but that's the way the Mabi team has worked in the past. :/
  
  Unless you and every other Alexina player chips into a fund that buys Nexon a decent or better server just for Alexina, and have a player represent the server so that you guys know that it's going in for Alexina and not just for whatever Nexon wants with a free server.

  Haven't they have a thread for bug reports in the main life section for the past two weeks? Could always try spamming that with Alexinian reports, as long as they fit the required formatting... if anything, it'll get their attention.

  Thing is, I've noticed that Nexon constantly changes their tune :l If they don't pay attention to the Alexina forums and the support forums, then they'll at least see the tickets. I don't think they'll get rid of Alexina either, it's been around for two years, and it's making them some money.

  Also, you'll have to deal with Alexina's community. I'm sorry to say it's an uphill battle.

  No, I mean into an actual fund set up by someone trustworthy to buy a server, deliver it to Nexon in person, and ensure that they use said server for Alexina. By buying NX, you are chipping into a fund, but it sure as hell isn't for the upkeep of your server, as being seen that it's being taken over by Vindictus. :V
  
  And yes, Nexon does change their tune on occasion, such as them filling the next few months before C4 comes out in February by fixing major bugs, but for the most part, the Mabi team ignores everything that is brought up on the forums and are often redirecting everything to one thread where the staff shows no sign of interest by updating any of us on what they're doing to fix said issues. Tickets can work, if you get everyone in Alexina to make one every once in a while. If you do it too much, history will repeat itself where they will start closing your tickets as soon as you make them, and then nothing will get done.
  
  As for shutting down Alexina, while yes, it might be a drastic measure, but the Mabi team is already sharing space on the Alexina server with Vindictus, and they will assume right off the bat that "hey, they spent money on us, they'll just move to another server and continue to spend money on us", not taking into consideration that shutting down a world can cause people from all servers to boycott Nexon, or any other serious repercussions from doing so. They might even use the excuse that they were losing money by having Alexina open, and had to close it down to allow them to upkeep their games. Sorry again for being pessimistic, but I've seen the Mabi team at work for three years now, while one or two things might work out, most of the time, they won't give a ****.

  There's tons of nice and friendly people to offset all the drama~
  
  Although it would be nicer if everyone worked together and had fun more often than just field bosses or Peaca INT... Group castle mission runs are definitely a step in the right direction, though.

  In one hour, at 5PM Pacific, at the pond in Emain Macha next to the Clothing Shop, there will be a music competition hosted by Nexon. While I do love this attempt to interact with their members more, I do not like the lag. I suggest we gather between ten and fifteen people to protest the lag at the music competition. What I suggest is not playing instruments, but letting our minds known through the text. Since this is a music event, it's not like they can really ban us for interrupting as long as he won't hoard around the person player or the GMs. I'm suggesting a large gathering of players around the event protesting. If they do ban us, despite the fact that we're not over playing or disrupting, well then, we'll most certainly have something interesting to talk about
