I'd die for a lot of people, as I don't value my life nearly as much as others. And I'd hate to live my own life knowing that I did nothing to save someone else who died as a result.

I feel the same way, but at the same time, I wouldn't die for a stranger.

At this point, there is nobody I would die for.
But you know... most parents would die for their children, no?

I would die for any of my close friends.
If put in the correct situation, I would not hesitate to put myself into such danger. I'd like people to know that I died saving someone though... It's like giving the gift of life to someone else... iunno how to explain it really.

If it meant having to die to save my parents or my siblings, I would do it. Without a doubt. Of course, I would always try to find another solution in which I can indeed save them all.
I think I would also die for my dog or at least risk my life to save him if he were in danger. If there were a fire in my building, you better believe I'd storm through those doors to save that animal. He means the world to me. If I didn't try to save him, it would haunt me for the rest of my life.
Had I also lived through periods of civil struggle, I think I would have risked my life in fighting for my rights. There is nothing scary anymore when you faithfully believe that what you are fighting for is right. No gun, no bullet, no knife scares you at that point. The only thing that's scary is giving up, especially when you've fought for something for so long.
As for my friends, I would indeed risk for my life to save them, but sometimes I don't think they'd do the same for me. I would hope they would.
With that said, I would not risk my life for any material object.

Adding to my last post... I'd die for a lot of people, but my parents are not on the list.
I've heard that burying your own children is the worst feeling someone could have, and given that they've spent their lives trying to enrich mine, dying for them would almost be spitting in their faces.

I'm pretty sure parents would tell you not to do it anyway.

There's only one person I would die for, yet at the same time doing so would seem selfish since the reason I'd do it is that I wouldn't want to live without her. But then she'd be left instead.
I could understand parents who die for their children, there's no real argument there. But lovers dieing for each other leads to an endless loop of who should have died to save the other because it's a huge burden on the one left alive.

In the end, only you matter so I wouldn't die for anyone or anything.

I just thought of it, lovers dying for each other is pretty much Romeo and Juliet. Except there probably wouldn't be any family feuds...

If I really think about it, I most likely wouldn't die for anyone. Risk my life for them? Sure, I would do that easily. But I value myself and I know that dying for them most likely won't solve anything.
Of course, if push came to shove and it was the right thing to do.. I might be willing to die. D: I'm not scared of death, just what my parents would say after. They're scary people.

You should value your own.
If you don't love yourself first, how can you love others? :)
