Questions on ancient/darkness

Decided to buy ancient armor with max damage 11, because I cannot handle the shadow mission that it comes out from.

The server is being mean to me and almost caused me to lose the armor due to inventory juggling and lag. At least it is safe now.

I wished that I had asked the seller where she gets these armours (she sold 3 in one day, and I bought the very last one), but my best guess is still the shadow commander II mission. Or is the renes egg-guarding game easier?

Now the last part is darkness. There are a couple of places to get them, and I can't decide on where I should be going to. Where do people usually go to when they want to look for this scroll?

Also, what's a decent stat to stop at for darkness, between 5-15? I was thinking above 10 will be ok but I'd like to have some opinions on this...

Lastly, should I upgrade this armor after darkness is being done with?

1) Renes is neigh-impossible without a decent party, so it is likely she farmed SM's for it.

2) You'd want to stop at the Habit Tragic cutoff point, so... 13-15 would be enough to match/exceed Habit Tragic.

3) Do not upgrade it `-` Only things worth upgrading are heavy armor IMHO.

Well, long ago, people spam Barri Normal for the Darkness enchant. (Spam on Tuesday)

I think Darkness drops from some Shadow Mission. Also, Darkness comes on gacha Valencia as well.

No, don't upgrade the armor. You won't get much bonus, and your other characters (like elf) can't use it. Not to mention, you can't resell it when you want to resell.

I would go for at least 18. Reason being Victorious/Tragic Clothing (10) + Fox/Tragic Accessory (8) is extremely easy to make, and adds 18. If you count Habit/Tragic and Corundum/Earthquake, then you'll need 24+ Ancient/Darkness to be efficient.

Of the 20+ renes egg rewards I've received, none of them were an Enchant Scroll.
But, my friends have gotten Ancient Enchant twice from there. If enchants were given out any other time in renes it was probably something useless [poison sniper]
Though, that was before g9...we just do shadow missions for it now.

If You guys have any gachapons that give pre darknessed armor, then I'd suggest that by far, they seem to be more available than cylinders, and you can get one for cheap if it has a crappy variable on it.
I don't suggest running barri. It's a major waste of time, I ran 70+ runs over the course of a few days, and not only did I get nothing from the runs, but now I cringe whenever I'm in any form of barri.

What armor is it? If it has enough durability, maybe you can afford redarknessing it a few times (As I wouldn't take the risk to burn the ancient out of it if you get like a 7 from darkness for instance.)
I'd only redarkness it if, you roll a variable under 11.
11+ from darkness, and you should be fine, it's better than victorious darkness atleast.
The hard part was ancient...and since that's done already, I dunno if freaking out about 4 damage is worth totally destroying that armor.

I'm going to have to disagree with everyone else on this.
If it is the only armor you plan on using on your human, then I don't see why not.
As you were totally adamant about your next armor being a light armor.

You can still have a good bit of defense, if you find some substitute for Raven boots lol, and rank your defense to 1 or so..
then it can be argued that the +4 sum-odd def you got from upgrading wouldn't matter anyway.
This is really your call lol.

I think I'll end up upgrading the armor because of the terrible durability (14 durability, 12 ancient + 11 darkness [re-enchanted because I got 2 times of darkness +7...talk about terrible luck] and had to buy darkness for a few times because I failed to burn out twice)....ended up spending 15 million just for this. Wiped out most of my funds but I'm fine with it. Worst enchanting effort ever.

It's pointless for me to play elf due to the lag...which is why I'm sticking to human character no matter what.

7 seems to be the unlucky roll of darkness, I also got 7'd like 3 times in a row upon enchanting before.

On another thought, since the upgrade paths for +11 durability are very close to 100 item profiency, I can choose not upgrade the armor first and only upgrade (or maybe sell but it's really unlikely since the durability is already this low) it if the durability goes way too low and just repair it at Edern.

If you take your armor off every time you don't use it, it takes a very long time for armor to go down one durability from repairs since you don't do repairs very often.

I recently screwed up my fully upgraded val to 2 dura, been using it for the past 2 weeks with no problems. I just take it off when I'm not fighting and I only have to repair at fleta (to fix 1 point) once a real life day when I do spam dungeons. It's not as bad as you think.

side note: yes I am making a replacement for it, xD 2 dura doesn't cut it for a long term armor ><
