Ok the main problem in this is money MONEY D:<
I'm debating between two things:
Magic School Uniform with 1 of two Upgrade Paths with Dire Wolf Enchant On Magic School shoes.
5/3 or 6/2 with an almost Non-existant repair cost
and 2 +2 def accesories so final stats are 13/2 or 12/3
Final Cost ~50-20k (For Enchant+Upgrade Cost)
Tioz Armor
I can Explore for my own or buy one for 100k >.>( I dont like da sound of dat D:)
But if i do get it, i want to take advantage of it. SO Defensive enchant for 400k >.>
Mana Summoner enchant on magic school Shoes 150k >.>
and Upgrade path 12/3
Final Stats are 17/3
Final Cost ~800k (Enchants, Repairs, Upgrades)
And i have to Repair it for an existant repair cost of like 1.2k per point. D:
I'm thinking magic school uniform but idk lol.

You can hunt a Defensive burnable in most HM Tara SMs, so you could really get it for free after a day or two of grinding on HM Shadow Warrior.

If your looking for repair costs to be cheap go with Premium newbie wear for clothes and Claus armor for heavy.

Well, obviously with those clothes, the advantage is MP reduction. But the other advantage is accessories, mainly for enchants rather than their defensive stats.
Heavy armor has good enchants too, and is actually a main component of being a mage tank. So, the choice is either MP power and efficiency, or high tanking abilities (thanks to Mana Shield).

I would go for the mana reduction set and then enchant will o' wisp on everything you can, as it's rather affordable and not very troublesome.
If you were considering heavy armor for the tanking, clothing setup wouldn't be too terrible, though... You can get Taurus or Clover enchanted accessories, as well as a tailored magic school uniform upgraded for protection. The mana reduction also applies to damage taken through Mana Shield, and with a decent shield on top of all that you should be able to tank inevitable hits when you have the skill up and at high ranks.

If money is a huge issue, I suggest going with heavy armor. The repair costs of the armor itself tend to be expensive but the durability decreases at a slower rate and you won't have to bless or repair accessories (which cost 50k a point). The downside is that clothing and light armor (combined with either one or two enchanted accessories) yield higher stat gain compared to a heavy armor setup. Without those accessories, however, heavy armor is often comparable if not slightly better.
Mana reduction is obviously a huge perk for mages. I would emphasis that status effect.

You can get the infamous 51 prot in giant or elf trans with clothing whereas armor leaves you with less then 46 i believe
of course armor makes it just simpler to gain what you want ... instead of hunting for enchants everywhere.
