This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. Think of it as the last RP events we had, except we have it once a year. To avoid post abuse, we can put the thread where you act as your character in Bean Rua.

[SIZE="4"][Member Hit and Give][/SIZE]

Members apply to take part in the event. Once the deadline for joining ends, all members who apply are put on a hit and give list. Any member can participate. Basically works the same as the "Hit and Give" forum game, in which a member will "hit" one thing and "give" to another. Works like this :

Sandvich : 10
Scout : 10

Member 1 :
Hit Scout
Give Sandvich

Sandvich : 11
Scout : 9

Last three standing members are winrars.

[SIZE="4"][Nation Raffle][/SIZE]

We can have a monthly raffle where it's a few Nation Gold per entry, as many as you want. Prizes can vary from Custom Name Colors, Name Changes, Member Upgrades, and etc.

[SIZE="4"][Nation Gachapon][/SIZE]
(More of a recommendation for a feature than an event)

Works like the Raffle, except it's an item in the shop that's around the same price as a cheap pet. Prizes are pets already in the shop, and a few, select rare pets that can be exclusive to the Gachapon.

[SIZE="4"][Design a Nation Signature][/SIZE]

Members design a signature that can be used as an official sig to advertise the forum with.

As far as prizes go, the best things to get are Custom Name Colors, Custom Pets, Even further profile unlocking (Example : Allow a user to have 5 images in his or her signature), and the like. Maybe even a TON of a Nation gold would be good, not just 5,000 gold. More like 20,000.

Well as for the sig, I remember us having one for guru, even though people barely used it. (BTW Nexon forums are ass and don't have signature nor avatars anymore, unless you manually put a sig in).

Most of everyone's posts with their sigs take up an entire page for me, so why not :(

Member Hit and Give seems like a popularity contest.

Raffle and Gacha would be cool, I'm up for that.

The design a sig would be meh. Not many people know how and/or don't bother.

How about all members deemed "Popular" automatically start with half points. Not only that, but you guys don't seem to be considering if the following happens :

1) People mess around with other popular members by hitting them and giving to a member that isn't popular.

2) In conjunction with above, people can gang up on one person to knock them out.

You obviously aren't considering what I said earlier, but whatever. I was pretty sure that most people on this forum aren't suck ups and would play the game how I expected it to be played, but if you're going to bish and moan about, "OH POPULARITY CONTEST!!" then whatever bro.

Good idea. We already planned something like it. We just don't know when, probably on our "official spam day".

To many problems arise with this event, so even though you could work out kinks, it's not worth the time to set up for the amount of people who would be interested.

It wouldn't be a "few" it'd probably be in 1.5k multiples, that way you would actually have to post and would be prevented from entering TONS of times. Prize wise, Custom name colors are doable, and I even see copying staff colors due to the fact we can always add sparkles/w.e. to the staff groups, and we have the pretty title icon. Name changes, sure. Member upgrades, I'd suggest making a new one for events only if you already have the two current ones.

If Chise want's to code something like that I'm all for averaging the prices of the pets and being able to win rare ones(like Nao, Evie, Fiona) at a small ratio.

There's really no place to advertise besides other Mabinogi/Vindictus sites, and that usually attracts the wrong type of attention.

Custom Name Colors, I'm perfectly fine with(Read above). Custom Pets, if we had someone already on the mod team be able to do this, then I'd be fine with it. 5 Images in your signature is way to much, maybe 3 at a certain size. Gold, well, that's easy.
