Something's rotten in the state of Denmark (Nexon)!

Well at first I didn't know where that quote was from, so I googled it. This a famous, political quote from Hamlet, the play, not the character himself. (Then I was like "of course!")

The dialog goes like this:

Horatio: He waxes desperate with imagination.

Marcellus: Let's follow. 'Tis not fit thus to obey him.

Horatio: Have after. To what issue will this come?

Marcellus: Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

Horatio: Heaven will direct it.

Marcellus: Nay, let's follow him.

There's a reason he says "state of Denmark" rather than just Denmark: the fish is rotting from the head downâ€”all is not well at the top of the political hierarchy.

Is Nexon trying to say something? Why did they chose that political quote? Em I over-thinking this?

I liked how they used an obscure quote. I'm sure more people would be raging if they used the "to be or not to be" or "alas poor yorrick" quotes.

You are over thinking it. Nexon wanted a Hamlet quote explaining that stuff is going crazy and girls are going wild. The Yorick quote or "to be or not to be" would also be harder to understand because they require the rest of the monologue to make sense while the Denmark quote is short and simple.

So I kinda like this quote, even though it's not as famous as the other one.

Beats some of the other quotes they could have used. xD
