This was nice
but the transition from tturn based to active battle
reminds the cat of final fantasy

Actually, the game play would probably be more like
Kingdom Hearts, but either way, I'd definately be more interested in a game like that. I mean, the turn based pokemon games are still fun and I enjoy playing them from time to time, but it's about time they made an active battle game for pokemon.

One of the reasons why its hard for them to do this is because it would mean animating a ton of pokemon.
All battles should be this awesome.

Actually, you wouldn't be animating each and every since pokemon on an individual basis cause that would be extremely inefficient. Rather, they'd probably use a small set of
models that would represent different pokemon body types and animate all other pokemon based on their body type (i.e. pokemon like Ditto and Muk would be modeled by a
Glob body model, Chimchar/Ratata/Pikachu modeled by a
Quadruped body type, etc.).

Turn based is the reason I haven't played most of the games people have referred to as 'awesome' since the 90's.

I like some turn based.
But Pokemon doesn't fit in to those I like. I mean, I played and beat Blue, Yellow, Gold, Diamond, and Stadium, so I have a right to say its not really great.
MOST of Pokemon's gameplay is literally switching your pokemon nonstop to your opponent's elemental weakness. Thats why I just use normals. You're all annoying.

Wait, how did a Tyranitar beat a Scizor...? Using hyper beam...? D:
I like Pokemon as a turn based game, but it would definitely be awesome as a real time action game. The thing that I hate about Pokemon is that there are only a select few Pokemon that are worth using in competitive battling. And any 7 year old and his uncle Jim can go to smogon and look up exactly what they are. They need to balance out the Pokemanz :(

Right?
And then they ban every pokemon thats too good.
I personally use Gengar a lot, but so do everyone else.
And for normals, who ever uses anyone other than Snorlax or Blissey?

That would be sooo cool!
And to stop this argument over team pokemon, the best team is (I have no clue how to spell these) Roserade, Craudawnt, hitmontop, espeon, ninetails, and delibird.

Try double battles, less switching because usually one if the opponents Pokemon is either weak or strong against you, or you have a Pokemon that has a specific, universal purpose (Hypnosis, Annoyance, etc).
And... imagination helps a lot.

Double battle is quite nice
lets you think twice before you use a move like earthquake
