My gigantic computer with monitor (It'd be pretty funny to see me hauling it out of the house.)
All my precious and expensive artbooks
My iPod, I already got one broken before, not losing this one now
My wallet
All the money that I can get my hands on

Well, my room has two windows. So, I'd just open one and save my computer and all it's periphrases, including monitors. Two fire safes I have in my room, my guns and knives that I keep because I'm super paranoid and probably some clothes and jewelry... all my shoes.
Everything else is pretty expendable.
Since I can just toss the stuff out the window, I wouldn't really need to make that big of a rush.... though, if I had to include something else then I guess the cat. I don't like him very much though. But still, it'd be cruel to let him burn to death. I don't think I'd brave a fire to save him though... Maybe I could bust open a window or something for him, iono. Yeah, I'm heartless... :x

Oh, this is a SUPERFIRE. It melts fire-safes. You can only choose 5 items, everything else BURNS >:D

Assuming things that fit in my pocket don't count... I'd fill my pockets with the small stuff (money, cell phone, a few chargers, batteries, etc) and toss some possessions out my window. They'd land pretty safely on a large bed of dirt, which, as you know, would stop the flames from reaching them. I'd then grab the following items and make my way out the house:
- My netbook.
- 1 TB external hard drive, has backups of pretty much all my computers.
- The folder of important documents (birth certificate, licenses, medical and tax records.)
- My prepacked zombie survival kit. Weighs close to 50 lbs now, but it's not too much of a burden. Will help with being homeless.
- Whatever hoodie or extra clothes I can sling over my arms while holding the other stuff.
Or, you know, I could use the fire extinguishers we have placed strategically around the house to fight the fire and save everything.

Just so we're clear, I have two brothers. I'd love to add another but I didn't want to cheat by saying "Both my brothers"

I said items. We're assuming that your family and all living things in the house have the smarts to go 'oh ****, fire. Run away!'
Does that include caged animals like Hamsters and turtles? If so then:
1) My Ps3
2) My best drawings
3) My computer
4) A few games that I love
5) The necklace my boyfriend gave me
So hard to choose. x.x; It kinda scares me to think about it
