Kim Jong-Il, the North Korean leader, has become a fashion trendsetter thanks to his trademark suits, according to the country's official website.
It claims the Mr Kim, who typically seen in an overall-style zipped-up jacket and matching trousers, usually in khaki or grey, has developed an "outstanding" image.
As a result, according to communist party newspaper Rodung Sinmun, Mr Kim's fashion sense have sparked somewhat of a global fashion trend.
"The reason is that the august image of the Great General, who is always wearing the modest suit while working, leaves a deep impression on people's mind in the world," it said.
"To sum it up, that is because his image as a great man is so outstanding."
The article further quoted an unidentified French fashion expert who said: "Kim Jong-Il mode which is now spreading expeditiously worldwide is something unprecedented in the world's history".
As well as his matching ensemble, Mr Kim also wears a shapeless anorak and fur out when outdoors.
Kim and his father Kim Il-Sung are at the heart of a personality cult bordering on religion in North Korea. The pair are said to be worshipped in the country, with the younger Kim believed to have near magical powers.
