it's registered with enom.com.
It says expired 2010 on one page, but 2011 on the other. I dunno if itchy just renewed it now or if the registrar intends to keep it for a whole year longer to try and resell for a higher price D:

lol was not done with my last post lol. looks like my wife pressed submit for me on my iPhone... and NYC snow so had to shovel >_>
majority of the time, the way bought domain names work is.. it goes through a few phases.
after that grace period for the owner to reclaim, when past it, it gets put into an auction block... so people can bid for it if they want it. once that period is over.. if no one claims it.
then it is released back into the wild.
so from the date of expiration, from what I've seen, you have a few months before being able to claim it as a _new_ vanilla name..
so yeah it says the expire is 2011 for Enom so either the registrar is holding it hostage now or Itchy renewed it.
PROTECT makes it so that you need authorization prior to transfers. aka, ownership. can't transfer if this is enabled.
As I haven't dealt with enom.
mabiguru.com seems to be bought under namecheap which is a reseller of enom. namecheap's servers don't reflect 2011 so it is likely that it currently under enom's custody for redemption period.. so give 30 days grace (assuming they give this).. once it's past 30 days, then you can relax a bit more. :P
if Mabiguru is a high traffic name, it's likely it'll be an auction transfer purchase instead of abandonment.
Give 24-72 hours for domain propagation to occur.. if it starts to reflect on other DNS's then it's been renewed by itchy. Once it's past 30~ days, then you can try to get it.. so unless Itchy doesn't have access to email for 30 days lol.. it's likely he'd renew it to keep the traffic on it.
