That is true hardcore. I'm pretty sure those players already grinded all the ap, titles, and high tier equipment anyways.
Yay I feel speshul.
Anyhoo, Im nearly capped on AP, but only have like... 155 titles. CBF to get those annoying ones. 1k Rezzes? No.

How many else of you have gotten the Kobold Commander Slayer title?
100 runs of Counterattack and each run takes 15 minutes each, most of which would be spent sitting around doing nothing.

I'm actually enjoying getting the titles (even the spear/bomb/etc. ones). Although bombs are a pain to aim properly. I wish there was a way to just drop the bomb in front of you to blow up all the mobs attacking you, instead of throwing it as low as possible and still having it roll off 20 feet away -_-.
I've only been playing for a few weeks, so I only have a little over 4k AP (on my *only* character).
And I would have to say that those who would qualify as "hardcore" are the ones that research the game to find the optimal way to do everything. (Optimize tokens, optimize money gain, optimize AP gain, etc.)
*points to Vindictus Guides sub-forum* :XD:

15k AP isn't much. I've heard there are quite a few people running around with 35k - 40k AP. I have something like 18k, 15k and 11k on my characters.

I'd say the 40k+ AP ones are hardcore. That and like 160+ titles.
Me, I don't really feel like I have much incentive to do any of those things and I absolutely hate grinding. I could play all day, but I wouldn't grind. I'd want active play rather than mind numbing robot work.
I respect those people, but I won't do it.
Oh and... I have 19k AP and 134 titles on my Evie. 14k & 102 on my Fiona. I'm not as hardcore anymore as some may think... o.O...
I'm not gonna buy tokens with real money and VMing is a real pain for me. That and well, yeah... don't like grinding.

I don't think it's possible to reach 40k with the current cap...

I'm at 21.8k AP. i'm aiming for 25/26k before my spring semester starts because i want to finish off HP mastery(@C) and my couple ranks of str(C)/combat(9) on my evie.
Although that maybe impossible given how much other stuff i have to do this week.
136 titles i think?

Assuming squeezing out all the battle quests of its AP, doing the Today missions every day, and just having played straight through properly, lets say you have 5k AP.
35k AP to go.
20 AP per nightmare run.
1750 Nightmare runs.
3500 tokens if you only go for 2 token boats.

I think what they're referring to is that there isn't 40k AP's worth of skills to spend AP on. Therefore, before you hit 40k AP, you'd be stuck at some point, with 100/100 AP left unspendable.

Well.. even when i get to 25.5k ap, i wouldn't have started on any of my staff skills yet. (stamina recovery C, MA B, FB D, BA F, Regen F, all support F, Light Armor E, Plate Armor F, Stone Skin F, Crit F...)
it'll probably cost another 15k ap to max those out. So it's very possible that some people are at 40k AP. they really wouldn't have anything better to do though.

Well if I use the skill calculator here:
http://vindictusdb.com/skill-calculator?i=Evie
and max everything out (for Evie), it tells me I'll need 67665 AP, but also that I need to be level 48. I'm quite sure much of available ranks on this skill calculator go far beyond what is currently allowed to be ranked. Assuming everything can be at least rank A, and taking what I know goes to 9 or further to its limit, I came up with something closer to ~35k AP as Evie's limit. Honestly though, I don't know how high many of the skills (e.g. Strength Mastery, various weapon/armor masteries, etc.) can go.

I did it for Fiona earlier, and I ended up with 36,910 AP required for every current skill to be maxed.

I tried with Evie with the current cap (at 7 for most things) and got around 50k. Seems like Evie's the most expensive character to max out ap wise.

Only Evy can reach the 40k AP point. She needs 41200-ish AP to completely max out everything. Lann needs 35700-ish, and Fiona needs 38200-ish, so unless you're an Evy, you won't ever see 40k AP before the next level uncap that reaches 48.
