Hammer and Nails?
You should've had fun with it and use a machete.
Wouldn't you spill it everywhere?
I had a pretty difficult time opening this thing. Maybe I got an extra hard one or something. I'm sure slashing at it with a machete will make it go everywhere.

Shredded coconut always has a use.
For just thick slices of coconut? Hmm... probably good with che hoa qua. A Vietnamese dessert.

The point of coconuts are for the juice (and then the meat), don't see why you would only have the meat and not the juice.

I took a nail, hammered it, and no juice came out the hole.
Then I hammered the coconut, cracked it open, and there was no juice inside.

The only reason I can think of is that you picked an old coconut.
Young coconuts are the best.
