Setup one of those trig things, and then substitute.
Like Sin 27 = (a/c)
Use the given equation, rearrange it around, then solve for a. After you get a, just solve for c, and then use trig to solve for b.
If my method is wrong, and you got points off, too bad, lol.
I don`t get points for this, it`s just revision xD.
Yeah that`s kind of the right thing to do *Just looked quick*
It`s just that I don`t know how long is a and c

Have you learned the laws of Sines yet?
I just find it odd how they gave you a+c=2908 instead of giving you one length of a side.. (i.e. a=___ then using law of Sines would solve all a, c, and b).

Yeah I have, I said this was for exam xD.
They did that so I can think more or something. If they gave me a side, it would be so easy.

Wow... I'm in college math classes and I still don't understand sin etc., but that's taught in 10th grade in Canada? xD

b= square root of ( (2908/(sin27degree +1))^2 - (2908 - 2908/(sin27degree +1))^2 )
erm do i have to give me work on this?
*i actually thought this was a troll post when i read the title xD
if its not, someone help me with APUSH studying and tell me what lowell factory in massachusetts did xDDD

I messed around with the law of Sines and I think I got the answer:

Excuse the messy handwriting > <; and don't get mad if you get it wrong. Since the answers are all over the place: a=908, b=1782, and c=2000.

@abc33kr, didn't they start the factory system at the lowell fact in Mass? *goes through 8th grade history notes*
edit: Yes, at the Lowell factory in Mass. they started the "factory system" which was bringing all the manufacturing steps under one roof to increase effeciency

oh thanks :D
so two things i know about lowell factory
1. worked by women and children. then prior civil war, irish immigrants took over
2. brings all the manufacturing steps under one roof to increase efficiency
xD we should have a section in the forum just for homeworks so that way we won't fail in life and still enjoy mabi :D

But in the end shouldn't it be b^2 = c^2 - a^2
then b = 1782?

Both our answers were b=1782. o.o
And if my memory serves correctly, I thought it was a^2+b^2=c^2
or side^2+other side^2=hypotenuse^2
EDIT: It's the same, except you rearranged the equation. xD Subtracted a^2 from both sides
