Some areas are blurred because the spine on my art diary made the scan difficult and thus i lost some details. :/
Media: Artline200 fine 0.4 felt-tip pen. I didn't use pencil or any other media (thus i have many noticeable mistakes i couldn't erase. :D)

I rushed this candle so much, and gave little to no thought to shadowing. Oh well, half decent.

I KNOW. The words are really messy and slightly slanted. I was drawing this in bed!
Lyrics are from 'The Devil's Tears' by Angus and Julia Stone.
I semi-copied the bordering and other detailing off the title page of 'The Arrival' by Shaun Tan. (Go read/look at it if you can! It's a pictorial story about immigrants and Shaun Tan's art style is epic.)

the heart pendant is so romantic !!! great work

candle looks great too, the only reason it looks funny to me is that you shaded the flame similarly like a pendant, so it looks a bit more like a gem flame xD

nice job on borders too, i bet you youd make lovely romantic cards.

Awesome job,

I really like your attention to detail, the pendant really benifits from it because while the heart shape itself is basic, the lines that you've added creates a lot of depth. The loops on the outside just adds to the depth as well as the shading.

Even though you rushed the candle, it shows that you have a good sense in being able to add enough shadowing to carry out the desired effect. :3
