The white cloud is too bright and the people stick out a lot.
The effects are cool but they don't make me think of a burning sky.

The people are supposed to stick out, they're part of the focal. The clouds, I do realize they're to bright, I'll fix them later/tomorrow.

Yes, but they stick out in a way that's almost copy pasta.

When the background fades to light blue, the render stays the same, so it looks pasted.

I wanted to make the ship look like it was crashing down from a distance, it fades to blue because that's where the ship is moving, if it was a live animation that blue would soon be red & black.

The pale blue spreads across the whole bottom of the sig, which makes it look more like the horizon than anything else.
Also, the red took away some of the 3D effect, where the ship was in the background and the people in the foreground. It looks a lot more flat.

It would probably look more burny if you colored the sky background reddish instead of being blue.

It doesn't look very burny to me. The red's just too red. The overall effect is just eh to me. I don't like it. :/
