No, FFX followed the story about a guy that grew up in a mechanized city where people could do whatever they want, and then one day he's sent into the future where everything is primitive, and he tells his story about trying to get back home, which happens to coincide with the story of a girl set out to bring some temporary peace to the world. Once the climax of the game is reached, Tidus is still in charge of the whole shindig.
Vaan, on the other hand, was only important for a little bit into the game, being a fledgling adventurer who dreamed of being a sky pirate, meets up with a guy who killed his brother, but really didn't, and was his evil twin that did it. Vaan easily believes him, then they get to a place where the princess learns that it's her destiny to restore her kingdom. What happened with Vaan when that happened, he saw his dead brother. The next time a similar event happened, Vaan didn't even see anything, which if Square wanted the story to revolve around Vaan, should have, at which point he fully relinquished his right as the main protagonist to Ashe. Balthier, who is an awesome character, had the most character development of the main party, and was a huge character that helped the party even progress through the story. He could have easily fit in either the main protagonist role, or the main support role. Basche, who as I pointed out, was originally going to be the main character, and would have made the whole story of FFXII better if it was one of revenge instead of just a telling through the eyes of someone that really didn't matter if he was there or not.

I have to admit, any game with jiggle physics is a win for me.
Including KHBBS.

Tifa by far surpasses Morrighan in every way, including cleavage size.
I don't mind them adding Vaan, though it'd be more interesting if they added someone from Tactics, Tactics Advance or Advance 2.
Tifa doesn't have sideboobs.

Well... This announcement just made my day. /Eagerly awaiting to play as Tifa.
Partially because of the jiggling breasts, but I haven't been keeping up with Dissidia, and I'm incredibly excited that they put her in it. =3

So, it's bad to be a girl and hate boobs as well as like them?

FFXII is probably the only game like this. Maybe you could call it a second person RPG?
Metal Gear Solid 2 comes to mind. As well as Kingdom Hearts 2. Solid Snake and Roxas both get pushed aside. A few other lesser-known games also come to mind, but I think those two are good enough for argument.
