Event Composite Shields

I ran into Serris0 with his composite shield yesterday and I remembered seeing screenshots of a white/black composite shield posted back on the Guru by I *think* Starpaw, I can't remember exactly who. Judging by how events have been moving so far we get most events from over seas.

So my question is what generation did those become an event item? I'd simply love one since my luck is bad enough as is I would be synthesizing til i die to try and get a composite shield that way. It may have been mentioned back in the OP the screen was in but all i can remember is it was an event item not when. So if you know or can remember that'd be awesome.

Also to anyone who owns a composite shield can anyone confirm yes or no to if they can be dyed. I was informed that they might be before they come out but no shield has been dye-able thus far so i don't see it likely. If you know for sure if they are or not that'd be awesome.

Never was an event item. It was a synthesized item.
Itemdb states that Composite shield first appear in Generation 9, Season 1.

I would love to know the recipe that they used cause the 2 decent ones i have are as follows and very expensive to pull of (spending 10-20 mil+ is likely)

Heater Shield x2 (15/15) Idol Ribbon Dress (10/10) Claymore (13/13) (cheapest recipe)

Jagged Mini Skirt 10/10) Tikka Shield (10/10) Kite Shield (15/15) ($852k per attempt)

Yeah but synthing a dragon shield has the same or simular costs. Dragon shield >Composite.

Thats true I guess. But from what I saw on foreign servers, composites seem to be quite common. o_o

I have no idea too. I was wondering where they came from. I might find a way to ask someone who knows over here.

I'm very, very well aware that it is a synthesis item. I'm also very aware they are released as I said I saw a player with one and that's what struck my memory. I have seen screenshots of a special colored composite shield and that is the base of the question. It's rather obvious that it's not just synthesized.

My mistake it was ShadowFox31 from Guru who posted it. I have a hard time with names sometimes. Considering he's TW there is a chance of them occuring. Not 100% if it's event, I could've swore he mentioned event but if it's gacha i don't care it's still drool worthy.

Okay here I found some screens pulled from Guru. They can still be found on the old Screenshots thread, I'm not linking though since I have the screens here. Both are from almost exactly a year ago.

ANYWAY.

It is kind of a lost cause to ask this question but I thought I may as well anyway in case someone does happen to have an idea.

Whether they are event or from gachapon it doesn't matter really I'm just curious. Any form of obtaining these outside of synthesis sounds wonderful to me since I'm not rich enough to spam for one otherwise.

I'm assuming probably not until G11 or so but I may as well throw 'em out there, I was rather in love when i first saw these screens XD.

Edit: A dragon shield would indeed be the most badass of all but I like the look of the composite shields more and both are 3 upgrade so meh I'll just go composite if I get the chance.

according to japanese wiki, gargoyle sword and 2 kites is also a composite recipe, but idk where you're going to find a massive amount of gargoyle swords.

Iria treasure chest event if it comes back. I get a few from fishing training in Tir too but not that terribly often.
Or just hunt heavy gargoyles which is kind of fun.

Right, I think I remembered. Seeing that screenshot, it's probably the dragon boat event. That might explain why it seems that foreign servers have more of these shields.

Yeah they came from the 2nd Dragon Boat Event, rewards included black/white composite, purple executioner swords and that bow you see

Most Mari synthesizers buy Jagged Mini skirts for 150k and the use two kite shields which frequently drop from shadow missions

Ahhh that sounds spiffy. I don't expect to see any such event any time soon but i remembered this screenshot when I ran into a player with a composite shield. Just thought I'd throw it out there to see if any of our overseas players knew anything. Thanks guys.
