Not a flaming topic, but more along the lines of smacking a bit of sense into ya.

Only complaint I have for Chapter 4 is...
Lame Mainstream.
I survived the lameness of the Chapter 2 Mainstream.
I can do the same for Chapter 4 >.>

I look forward to it. That's the kind of action I want/desire.

I don't hate G13 or G14. I love the content from them.

Content Wise, I think it's all right. This is what I like and don't about G13 and G14 (Chapter 4 as a whole)
What I like?
1) Combo Cards
2) New Melee and Magic Skills
3) A Staff! A Staff! Woot a staff!
What I don't like?
1) Lame Mainstream ripped from overdone classics
2) Class System (I never did like it. I'm simply going to live with it. I'll never "like" it)

However, On second thought.
I'm complaining about a mainstream I know relatively nothing about other than it involving plays of sorts.

Giving a bit of spoilers:
Avon itself has connections to the gods, im not saying how (but you can pick that much on the wiki if you really want to)
Morrighan will make 2 (maybe more, i skipped most of my cut-scenes) appearances, one is of the non friendly type.
Shakespeare himself is an important character to the upkeep of avon itself, how it plays out im not sure (i dont translate well so...)

I'm sorry, that post of mine was a troll.
I do agree with your rant though. People should let things play out, try them out, then see if they really hate it. I mean... many people claim to have been playing this game since beta, g1, or like me g2 (or perhaps a little newer, but still "old school by today's standard g3 or even g4-6). Playing the game and loving it, but suddenly saying they're gonna quit because all this new stuff is ridiculous.
Maybe I have a little too much faith in Devcat's writers that they'll actually make a story that is not like G8, and is at least a bit more like G9-12. Maybe I'm weird that I actually like getting new skills like leap attack, and the slew of passive skills that will certainly help define "build's" more diversely. I'm eager to find out what the new grind locations will be with these stage missions, and if any changes to my strategy will be necessary to handle them efficiently.
Then again... I've been eager for g13 to come out the moment I heard about the new INT system, and was eagerly trying to read up on all I could about the gen while it was still in KR Test, and the rest of NA was preparing for g11. So maybe I am biased.
@kingofrunes: I have been avoiding reading too much on the mainstream myself, to be able to enjoy it when it is released in NA more. But the hints I recieved is that the storyline we completed in g12 doesn't get ignored, it continues on in c4. We're discovering and mucking about in this Avon place for a reason, and the Shakespeare stuff is not... the storyline.

That right there is one piece of information that really excites me.
YES!
Okay, maybe G13 won't be as bad as I thought. I started a new topic though to discuss this further so as not to take away from this "complaint about complaints" thread.

I was kidding about the troll part (i dont huggle trolls, mostly ignore them XD)
Anyway my view is you can rage all you wish, just do it after you try it out XD

Generation stories is such a short game-play for most people anyways. A lot of people will be like rushrushrush to finish the story in the first day, and then grind out AP for those skills for the rest of the time.

It just bugs me, the whole shakespeare bit. I can see how it ties in i could from the get go but at the same time it's just... off to me.
The class system I don't really have a beef with. I used to somehow hybrid classes back in other more "traditional" MMOs so i'm sure I'll live. I'm actually more curious than anything on this one.
The skills I'm overwhelmed with, not hating, overwhelmed. It's way too much for me, personally, at a time. I like my things spread out.
Otherwise I really don't care about it. I wont be doing the mainstream for a long time so even though it kind of bugs me i wont be really bothered by it too much for several, several months. Most of the skills I wont touch at all until I have my base skills down anyway so really it's just going to bug me the mass mound of new rank F skills needing capping (really that's my biggest thing XD).
So really my err "complaining" is kind of a pathetic version of it. Some people though i agree... some of the complaining I have heard honestly makes no sense. But whatever most people now a days are near impossible to please so i stopped trying years ago.
