with my new broads with the 4th upgrade done on the 222 path, the big question comes.
+5max and crit (nerys upgrade) or wait for g13 and try my luck with artisan upgrade?
so far im thinking in going 222 for now, stamp goddess/caliburn on them after they have the jewel upgrade
and later put artisan on warhammer (not planning to enchant it because i use it a lot, id go broke with a caliburn warhammer. probably stiff or lizard, but nothing 10x repair cost)
what do you guys think? :I

Artisan upgrade on broadsword is the worst
Quote from gameabout:
ëžœë¤ (ì²´ë ¥ 1~14
솜씨 -10 ~ -22
행운 4~20
최대 ìƒëª…ë ¥ 2~5
최대 스태미나 2~5)
1~14str
-10~22 dex
4~20 luck
2~5 hp
2~5 stam
14 str is 5.6max
20 luck is 4crit
nerys is 5max and 5crit.
Unless that .6max is THAT important to you, go nerys.
oh and i miss you hiji :/

Not to mention the str increase is not a fixed amount.

I'm not too sure on this, but I think better Artisan upgrades are found with weapons that have higher damage. Like my Claymore on test server got a +30 Str Artisan upgrade, but it has 75 max damage. My Lance with 85 max dmg, on the other hand, got a whopping +67 Str Artisan upgrade.
Artisan is a gamble anyway, and 100 prof/20k gold is certainly not fun to do.

artisan upgrades have a set stat range that is already set.
Like that broadsword artisan upgrade will NEVER get will stat.

The point is, Artisan upgrade is different for each upgradeable equipment. Whether or not it's worth it depends on what and how high of a stat roll is allowed for that equipment.
It's just an observation I made that weapons that are "higher tier" seem to have better Artisan upgrades than "lower tier" ones. Clothing/Armor/Shields, on the other hand, require a different train of thought: do you want defensive properties, or stats that contribute to your DPS?

Well that is a trend, but if devcat felt like it they can just give 10str upgrade for db. xP
But on topic, clothings/armor tends to give defense/prot than str and similarly with shields.

So would a claymore be better off with Blade Refinement 5 or the artisan?

Just want to know, what would be the 1st, 2nd and 3rd best Human 1H in G13+, don't need to include enchants and with max Artisan and S or R upgrades.
Oh and you can both Artisan and S, R Upgrades right?

Well the artisan ranges for the claymore look kind of like this:
HP +2~5
SP +2~5
Str +5 ~ 30
Luck +10 ~ 70
vs.
+6 max, +10 crit (Emporium Special Modification)
I'd say the 5th refinement would average better results but if you want to risk it, Artisan could get both more damage and crit.
Edit: Opps, I thought you were talking about 5th in general upgrade. Sorry.
