I am so ****ing confused I'm a Junior in highschool and I still haven't figured out completely what I'm going to do after highschool...
I've been wanting to become a highschool American History teacher but now that I think of how my classmates treat our teachers..**** that.
I need some suggestions based on things I like
I love bones, NOT THE SHOW
My father use to bring me home skulls, ribs, teeth, ect from his hunts
I love history all kinds of it, especially ones that have to do with human and animal remains
I love to cook especially desserts
I love marine life especially the ones in the darkest places of the ocean ;)
not like dolphins and whales but strange fish
I love space
and I love the earth especially things that have to do with fossils and extinct species (such as dinosaurs)
I know you guys can't decide for me
I'll have to make that call but any suggestions would be useful
to sum it up I like really old things
kinda strange for a girl huh?

Marine Biologist? I will say, oceanic trenches are extremely fascinating.

I'd suggest medical examiner, but.. well, you don't exactly work with animal remains. xD
But if you're comfortable with animal remains, human remains aren't a big step up. You seem fond of animals, though.. might I suggest something in that field?
Medical Examiners are awesome and all, but it's an 8-year degree. >>; SODON'TDOIT. <- this is just coming from me, who is a future ME.
I agree with De, though. Or just anything to do with animals in general/the study of their environments. Animals are just plain amazing.

While I'm not going to say it's not an important decision, choices you make in high school are pretty much reversible later on. A majority of college students change majors and goals, some more than once, before getting their degree. Choose something you like, but don't think it seals away your future. What it does do, however, if point you in the direction of colleges/universities that have great programs for what you're interested in.
Aside from that, the suggestions above are good.

^I've been told
but I feel rushed and honestly it makes me wanna curl up in a ball under my bed and time travel back to when I was 5.
I love anthropology but I doubt I'd ever be able to get a PH.D
I just don't have the brains to do so. |:

Anthropology is delicious, it really is.
Psychology is generally very easy so long as you're interested in it. Most is actually common sense that wasn't so common, however.
A degree related to animals would be fun I imagine, plus it shouldn't take too long since it'd be a Science + history degree.
One important factor you need to think about when selecting a future career: Is this something I will enjoy in the long run?
Because if not, it's probably not the right job for you.

I know of a lot of fields that I would enjoy forever
but I also want a job I can feel proud of
if I loveee flipping burgers and work at burger king
telling my friends from highschool "hey what do you do?"
"Oh I'm a graphic designer.. you?"
"Oh.. I work at burger king."
no matter how much I want to flip burgers the job itself is embarrassing

Lmao. Some people might enjoy it, you never know. xD
Butyeah. It's very important to find something you're good at but also would enjoy long term. There are already a lot of tough and unenjoyable things in life, so it's nice to have a job not be one of them.
Even though going to School for the job usually sucks. :/
Anything with a 2~4 year degree should be just fine, though. Me? I have an 8 year one.. DON'TDOIT.
If something like helping animals makes you feel proud, that's good. Even if it's just something like cooking, studying, teaching.. they all have their importances in life.
It's hard to say "Don't feel rushed" but yeah, I can understand xD; I'm lucky I have my job picked out already, most people never do.
But I can honestly say one day, it will come to you. Then you'll be like "Whoah, why didn't I figure this out sooner?"
I spent my entire life up until Highschool figuring out what I wanted to be. I switched from one to the next, until that one day. Now I haven't even considered another job. -nodnod-
Patience, grasshoppah.

Bachelor degrees these days are not enough to get ya a good job in good fields, I've heard.
You really want to at least finish a Master's, even if you don't go for the PhD.

Really? o_o; I knew 2 year degrees didn't really meet up to par.. but yeesh. It also depends on the field, though. If you end up working for the state (usually in the Medical/Law field), it is hard not to find a job actually.
As long as you find a field in need of people constantly, it should be fine.

Yup, yup.
In Physics, undergrad education doesn't get you much. It's something, but a grad education is more better.
It depends on the field, of course. I took an archaelogy class and it's the opposite. Professor told me there's a lot of people with just undergrad educations working in that field. And grad educations, of course.

Well dayum. I feel bad for those people, then.. 4 year degrees can be ridiculously tedious.
Another tip: try and see what places are often looking in your area and/or a potential living place in the future. I had nearly forgotten that, lol.
Some areas might like certain job fields better than others due to a variety of things, so it's also good to make sure the area you live in has openings/is known for openings, just so you don't end up moving constantly.

It may sound odd but I want to work hard for whatever I choose to do
that's why I want a masters and PH.D
I love to learn, and I love to work hard
it's just scary because the minute I leave that highschool...
I have to figure out what to do next
