I just recorded this a couple hours ago. I'm not trying to brag or anything, just give more exposure that having a mostly Spear Lann party isn't the have all be all of Laghodessa.
7 Scythe Evies, 1 Spear Lann. Lanns need us for Bloody Thread, but as you can see... we don't need them. And, it's pretty fast. The boss part itself is about 30 seconds or so, usually ends around 57:23 or so, depending on how fast you cleared and F12'd the first room. So, I guess that's about 1:36 run? Not any kind of record or anything, but still pretty fast I think. I don't think I got much better time with very Spear Lann heavy parties.
So, don't be afraid to try it sometime! There always seems to be a lot more Evies anyways. :P
Hmm... I wonder how a mostly Staff Evie group would go...... 14 fireballs then a bunch of magic arrow spam... I dunno. It'd be interesting to watch if someone does it!

I'd be more curious to see a synchronized Blind Arrow attack. :awesome:

Maybe when you finish getting your staff skills, we can try it. :onionru:

nice. im surprised you didnt use the walk snap FOR MAX DPSSS *foams*
i just notice some lanns seem to be blinded by their own spin2win, it's a lot easier to see whats going on when they're not around.
all staff would be a nightmare since i don't see them kbing both of them reliably- then it might as well just be like any other PUG cept w. squishy slow casters.
there was even a discussion where they considered 8 staffies with SP pots. hard to imagine, the main problem is that BA only hits one at a time. would like to see an attempt though.

Where did you get this idea? I've knocked down as many as 3 bosses at once, while solo, using Blind Arrow. They just need to be close together. Of course, there are 9 individual projectiles in that attack, but (if they behave anything like Magic Arrow's blast then) the same shot can impact multiple enemies.
P.S. What do you mean by "kbing?" :what:

it hits one at a time, yes, unless they're hugging each other- something that doesnt happen in an all staff party.
kb means knockback, the flinch motion the spider does when you do enough damage to them. It's what keeps them from retaliating (which you can do constantly if the entire party keeps wailing), and what makes Laghodessa a rather broken raid run in that respect, and why you'll never see a solo where one man takes both of them at once until much later (when transformations and relevent equips allow you to keep them knocked down. (spin2win!)).

Ah...thanks for the reply. I wish I knew enough Staff Evies to try an all-staff party. It's pretty obvious any PUG assortment would fail hard.
:scare:
An example: I tried several times to host a "break-off" party. I explained to everyone before we left (each time), what they needed to do (which was only to stay still for a moment, while I went off to sacrifice myself). I even reminded everyone before entering the boss room. Still, every time was an utter failure which started off as pure chaos where half of the people were doing what they should be doing, made irrelevant by a couple of people (aside from me) moving early on. Finally after about 5 runs, everyone except the few people who knew what to do had died and magically both spiders were in the far corner and not interested in the 3 of us that remained. We finally got it, but I vow never to try running a break-off group with strangers ever again!

Well, I'm also a staffie, although I'm not quite to Lagho yet (only lvl 39). I'm willing to try it out when I get there if you still want to ^^
You could just make a mabination staffie party. :3

I was in a full scythe Evie party today for lag (PUG) and I have to say it works wonders.
