It's so weird. From my experience, all the laghodessa runs I've done on normal took around 10-20 minutes to do (including a couple of wipes, even) but the runs on hard usually takes around 3 minutes, 5 minutes max.
Same thing with other missions on hard vs normal. I find that the team is usually way more competent in hard that more than compensates for the increase in difficulty (which really isn't that much anyways) and almost always results in a quicker finish.
Your thoughts?

Newbies do normal because they're afraid of hard.
Only people who are confident, or people who know what they're doing, will do hard.
Also, hp is slightly reduced in hard.

This, it's rare to see someone new to the level on hard mode. The reduced hp and party confidence/skill makes things go smoother generally.

If you look carefully at the descriptions, normal monsters have ABOVE AVERAGE hp, while monsters on hard have normal hp. So hard basically reduces the amount of health the monsters have, making it easier to get a lower time.
I usually do hard for most missions other than the ones that have kill boss with ____

20% less hp on hard.
End of story.
