Wait so you control a human, or the digimon themselves? What are the battles like?

I'm just guessing, but I think it's turn-based battles and you as the human direct the digimon to attack your enemies, I guess.

Well the other digimon games aren't like that (Or the ones that I owned) so I don't think so.

You control your human character (Tamer) and you have a digimon follow you around (your partner). You can catch other digimon and train them along side your main one or replace your main with any other digimon and have that follow you around on screen.
The combat is active turn based (think Atlantica) where you attack every time your "TP gauge" (a yellow bar) fills up. You can have multiple digimon out fighting at the same time.
It has a nice card system going where you can "swipe" a card(like in the 3rd generation) before your digimon makes a move to give it some sort of effect such as a quick heal to an atk increase.
--------------
I'm up to around lvl 19 or so and I'm already running out of things to do. There are hardly any quests and the game just feels...rough. It's fun for a while though but it doesn't feel like something you could play for longer than 2 weeks. Trying to control multiple digimon at the same time is also a pain as I haven't found the shortcut key to toggle between them.
Give it a shot though, something is better than nothing right?
