Well i always knew that this program came with mabinogi, but i never knew what it did so i left it alone. But i was just looking around on a maplestory forum and someone posted about it. Lots of other people posted about how it worked for them too, but i wanted to ask if any of you guys know about this, and if it really is safe to uninstall it without hurting mabi (and if it really does lower lag and stuff):what::what:

It's a peer-to-peer media delivery software. Mostly used for big files of MMOs. It's actually a pretty reliant P2P software in that regard, considering how many people download gigabytes of data from a F2P MMO game.

But yeah, it's peer-to-peer. Meaning it can seed to other users downloading the same file. In that regard, if the publisher decides to grant its own version of Pando Media Booster rights to seeding without the client knowing, then yeah, it can use bandwidth (uploading), which can cause lag if whatever you're doing needs a lot of upload bandwidth. Not sure if there's a way to turn it off if it does. If it doesn't, then it's effectively using up your bandwidth without your rights.

EDIT: My opinion on keeping it? No. Especially if you care about your bandwidth usage per month. I usually delete PMB or related after the installer .exe finishes downloading with it.

Task manager makes it so it doesn't load on start up.
