To weave, or not to weave– that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The cobwebs and wool for outrageous dexterity,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles
And, by opposing, end them.

less QQ more pewpew~
srzly though the dex from the skill is unmatched, just do it slowly or super fastly and start hiting the monsters vitals for maximum damage >:O
There's a guide on the forum if you need help~

I really think skills like carpentry and weaving should be saved for near end game. Under 2000 levels, there's so many skills to rank, even if you only specialize in two forms of combat. My views on life skills are "I don't want to spend all my time on Mabinogi slaving over a spinning wheel or woodworking plane. I'd rather rank stuff that puts variety into my skill set." Of course, that doesn't mean you should dabble in all four forms of combat.

Ah well, I would rather rank life skills now and gain more stats, which will ultimately still help me in combat. Also, I'd prefer to get those over with ^^''

Rank windmill too and embrace the spinning Zen.
Spinning wheels spinning
Reflections of a Zen mind.
Windmills windmilling.

Listen I did rank F to r1 in 10 days. My old guildmaster did A-1 in 7 and another friend in guild did it in 7 days C-1.
I bought stuff the others didn't. Either way grind like there is no tomorrow and get it overwith. The amount of joy you will feel at getting it done will be great. Doing it super fast with hyper concentration will make you a little nuts but afterwards you will find yourself opening your skill tab just to look at r1 weaving.

LOL at hamlet-turned-weaving-rant prose.
Anyway, I felt the suffering is worth it for the long run.
This goes for any dex adding skills, anyway, since they are all so tough to rank.

It isn't too hard if you stay in Tir;
The graveyard is a goldmine for cobwebs and you can easily run over to the sheep field and sheer some sheep.
Then, meet half-way between the two spots and train Weaving.

If you find it boring and/or stressful, it's probably better for you to divide each rank into a weekly routine. My friend basically did 1 rank per week. Some ranks he had to spend more time than other weeks (noticeably r8, but I helped him get some threads).
Weaving's efficiency is still there, but after G13, I wouldn't say it's a skill you do so early in game.
Famous routes for archers:
Pre G13 - Refining->Prod Mastery/Range-Related Combat Skills->Weaving.
Post G13 - Refining->Prod Mastery/Range-Related Combat Skills->Bow Mastery, seems more efficient damage and time wise.
Personally I also did my weaving for about 2 weeks to get to rank 1, but I've never spent a single gold on Fine/est Leathers (meaning I did a lot of Walter PTJ's).

I did weaving before a few of my ranged combat skills, which I'm now starting to work on. 8D;
If you can, just push through it and have it be over. It's super annoying but once it's over, it's over and you can go shoot things for fun. *_*

It's easier to trap and shear sheeps in emain than shear the ones in tir. Just use coupons to travel fast from town to town

Haha, I have no doubt I'll probably be looking at my r1 Weaving a lot after I attain it.
