Dungeon party ads get abused because the trade windows don't show up in all chat. But then again if they did show up in the chat and you're by a bot, imagine having:
A bot (s) nearby when you're trying to communicate with someone in the all chat category while doing a trade.
The dungeon party windows all over the place AND the trade window being in all chat. That's more good commounication blockouts. :T_T:

Well... solving the problem of the bot spammers would be a seperate thread/problem. Get rid of the blasted things already, Nexon... sheesh.
I've seen better chat setups than mabi's, that is for sure. There are already ways you can decide what does and does not show up in "all" chat, and if trade channel was fixed to show up there by default like it should, there would already be a solution to the problem of it interfering with your conversation... the same one you can use today to make party ads not show up either. After Maintenance, go to options>chat tab and mess around with those settings.
while we are at it, I'd like to say that the chat system I saw on Myth Angels Online really impressed me. Your chat input field is active at all times, and so typing goes there by default. All hotkeys involve pressings alt, ctrl, or shift and another key (except f-keys which don't input characters in chat, so don't need it). With that design, all basic functions (for example map in mabinogi would be alt+m instead of just m) can be keyed and talking in chat doesn't interfere, nor would you be messed up trying to actually fight only to find mashing f1 won't load a skill for some reason... til you notice your chat input field is active 'cause you didn't hit enter again.
