I keep enchanting myself full ice out of habit, since it helped give my attacks an extra punch back when I used Rundal HM for leveling... I also remember ice being the recommended element for Shadow Missions, but according to some, past and recent patches have removed fire element from SM mobs.
My question is... should I still bother to elementally enchant myself for ice, or are there no considerable amount of SM mobs that are weak to ice anymore? I also read that stage missions feature ice-type enemies, making me start to consider using fire, or none at all.
I mostly run SCC, Alby Adv HM, Peaca INT and Tara castle missions... so at the moment I'm only interested in having an elemental edge (or not having an elemental handicap) in those places.

They removed the fire element from tail shadow mobs. Tara ones have never had elementals. I actually think most mobs in Alby are ice elemental. In g13 your going to want to have fire elems for more damage in stage missions since all the mobs are ice related.
Tank Mages/Alchemists should put full Ice on thier sets + use fireball/flameburst and rank up fire mastery/fire alchemy mastery.

I find lightning elemental useful for castle missions though. Shamans spam lb and ghosts with their thunder and lb :/

Thanks for the confirmation, that was exactly what I wanted to find out.

Yeah, I was also thinking of using lightning defensively if ice was no good anymore... lb seems to be the preferred bolt of anything that hits me :I

forgot to mention, orange grumbils. If you enchant everything with lightning, you'll be hitting 1s on them. Found that the hard way >>

This is why I put fire back on all my stuff.

I went full fire element a while ago and I didn't notice a significant drop in damage on most Taill\Tara\Castle mobs.
Some mobs are still fire element (Dullahan an example for Castle missions) but for the most part there's no harm in going fire in SMs as far as I can tell. Lightning would probably be safest while still giving a damage boost as you've said.

I guess ice still has an use after all... Master Lich is fire elemental, with full ice you can do easy 6k+ crit mags nontrans, without full ice it's ~20% less damage. Trying to hurt him with a campfire results in very little damage, also, since arrows turn into fire element.
Haven't really noticed much of a difference on other enemies after going non-elemental for a while, though, so I might be going as such for normal occurrences, ice for Peaca INT and fire for future stage missions. Thanks to everyone for their input.
