3DS is Region Locked

  ニンテンド ーDS、DS Liteには設定されておりませんが、
  There are no Region codes in DS and DSlite
  DSi、DSi LL、3DS本 体にはリ ージョンコ ードが設定されております。
  But DSI, DSILL,3DS has Regioncodes.
  リ ージョンコ ードはゲ ーム機本 体とゲ ームソフトそれぞれに
  The Region Codes are installed in each games and the 3DS itself.
  設定されており、 両方のリ ージョンコ ードが一致しないと
  If the codes dont match
  ご使用いただけません。
  You cant play
  仕向地 国により、リ ージョンコ ードが異なるため、例えば、
  If the region codes are different. For example
  日本仕 様のゲ ーム機本 体で韓 国仕 様のゲ ームソフトを動かす
  If you play a korean 3DS game with a Japanese 3DS system
  （又はその逆）ということができない仕 様となっております。

  Isn't it because while all the different Nintendos are connected, they are also separate companies? For example, you buy can buy stock for NoA or NoJ instead of just purchasing a single stock for all of the Nintendos.
  
  I may be wrong about that, but I thought it was one of the reasons.

  I don't think making media region locked has ever stopped anyone who wanted it from using it.
  Region lock is the equivalent of of going on some pirating group and asking them politely to pirate your stuff.

  I don't think this would affect me much, since I can barely afford the stuff available here and playing things I don't understand doesn't entertain me as much. I know it's probably going to affect other people more than me though. ^^;

  or just wait for the price to go down first enough then buy it, and then wait. just like how I did with the ps3. TOO BAD IT HAS NO GAMES.
