I mean as a hybrid, it is a bit difficult for me to choose between the two classes. My guild leader suggested Warrior class, since I don't have Rank 1 Windmill yet (i'm getting there Aahz, soon enough)
:gloom:
My skills are:
Combat
Magic

If I were you, I'd probably go with Warrior.

Melee is pretty op in any situation. Go Melee > Magic since Melee will give you your foundations then branch into Magic into a specific element and expand from there.
If I built my character to a Magic Warrior I would of with Thunder Knight.
Melee skills:
- r1 combat mastery
- r1 critical hit
- r1 Windmill
- r1 Smash
- r1 Final hit
- r1 Down Attack
- r1 Blunt Mastery (Optional forthe 19str or use of blunts)
- r1 defense
Life Skills:
- r1 refine
- r1 carpentry
after that I would enter magic with:
- r1 Magic Mastery
- r1 LB
- r1 bolt mastery
- r1 Lightning Mastery
- r1 Thunder
- r6 Mana shield
You only need 84 dex to equip r1 crafted 222 broadswords (29% balance) w/ combat and sword mastery which can be easily be gotten from r1 refine and r1 ranged attack. Also I'm not an expect in magic but thats something that I personally would do and just now I feel like making a thunder knight.

With -CP Gear flying around windmill isn't such a "Gogogogo" thing anymore.
Regardless, do what you want, it's your fantasy life. You don't need to go straight cookie cutter, and solo dungeons.
But IMO. Lightning Bolt and Melee, can pretty much solo anything. But R6 Mana Shield is a must, It just fills the gap, if you don't have much defense.

I own a jackal, and trying to get my hands on the Thin and Vicious enchants. I'm also pushing towards getting an Abysmal pot, but no luck so far. I'm not much for hot-air ballooning.

Gogogo spam those Their methods. And if your thinking on making an Abysmal pot, now is the time to do when you have the ego reward reset glitch for hot air balloon.

Well you could switch your Destiny every Rebirth so you may want to try them both out,
However Warrior would help the most with finishing off WM and the added STR. It is a bit harder to get more STR then INT, and that amount of str would help out your melee much more then that same amount of INT would help out Magic.
Mage would be useful imo if you are pure mage, or your looking to train Enchant.

Alchemist is more useful then mage when you don't need the int or the x2 training as Alchemist gives you more mp. Warrior is hacks and turns humans 0.5str per level to 1 str per level effectively given 100 str at 80/20 which is pretty neat. Better then then only 50 str.

Combat is absolutely terrible in this game, you end up chasing everything around just to do less damage then the other longer range attacks.
Go with mage.

Thats highly affected by latency/lag.
