  Depends on seller/type of ring bow you want. They are from doing Balloon Minigame. It may not let you get 41 stars per route, but if you go through the whole thing with only stopping at first and last stop, you may get 41 stars each.
  
  It also depends on your +max enchants and whether or not you miss as well. You will need r1 range mastery as well for that r1 AR.

  Arrow revolver is really good for easier missions or as support. For hard shadow missions with low dex I use it only when I have to. Magnum spam tends to do more damage.

  since you guys are getting G13 soon.. try to focus on items that have these upgrades..
  you can get way more damage with a long leather bow full dmg upgraded + 3 S..
  or goo for some highlander bow or wing bow

  Well the question is more based on whether or not AR is good. But yeah, ring bows (upgraded) aren't very good. They make for good egoes however. :) What he wants to do with it isn't really stated

  Yeah, I use magnum too. However I have seen it done to get the ring bow lol Back in the day me and a friend would AR the wyverns to death, however expect to use a lot of potions. Also you'll probably want to know what element you're fighting and put elements on your gear accordingly. Also, make sure you bring flint just in case.. it would be horrible to get close and then drop to the ground in failure. Avoid too many wyverns, and watch your balloons health. You shouldn't lose blessings if you die, so you might just need to try a couple times.
  
  As for buying, it depends on your server/seller. On ruairi the bows are about 50-60k a pop. Hard to sell. Only people looking to ego them or ego repair really buy them these days.

  o3o who said that they didn't have r1 AR? And even so, I don't find that true. AR is rather useless later on (I never use it...), unless maybe you pvp or something. I mean yeah the dex is there, but a ranger might not put that AP expensive dex as priority.

  Unfortunately it's true. I just double checked, I do not see Ring Bow as a listable weapon. Also don't fall for war swords either, they're not! Neither are beholders.

  You'll hardly ever use Arrow Revolver later on. That being said, should you miss a shot you'll be damn glad you have it.
  
  That's one of the problems with the durability system. Fast skills that hit multiple times are preferably not used because they kill your weapons quickly.

  I think the OP was asking if AR is good for hot air ballooning, in which I would say not really. You'd be better off with magnum or heck, just use a CC fire wand + rank 1 firebolt. Best for hot air ballooning.
  
  As for is AR good in general, you'd want to rank it no matter what if you're a ranger for the dex. Otherwise, it doesn't really do much damage but it's heck of a good skill to finish off monsters if your mag didn't kill them and to save your life. Mainly, to save your life, because range misses like a bish.

  AR is good for things like rafting, but Crash Shot would be better suited for those types of things. AR beats elf range, so in PvP it can turn the tables around too..But it's a stamina eater if you spam it too much.
  
  Cost of Ring bow depends on what server you're on. On Alexina, they're around 80k~100k because our economy died down quite a lot. R1 AR would probably be cruicial if you were mainly a ranger, and even meleers tend to max it out as well as range as an alternate hybrid.
  
  I agree with Ailyene, Firebolt CC is really the best method and fastest way to kill Wyverns. But if you ego a Wing Bow, it has better range and is a fast weapon, so that probably could get you that amount of stars as well if you had a decent ranked AR.

  Chances are if he's trying to balloon for a ring bow he doesn't have an ego wing bow XD I think really the question is what type of archery skill should he be using for killing wyverns and if he can't, what stats/skills should he get- related to archery
