Time to play mabinogi

  Bad puns aside, I have decided to play mabinogi again, and just want someone to say, you should probably do this. So here is my character,
  
  Timexpo the Elf.
  Gold: 600k pure gold, and a ton of items....I have no clue if they are worth anything now
  Ap:56
  total level: ....326
  Skills that I actually think I should note:
  
  COMBAT
  Ranged: Rank 6
  Mirage: 9
  Magnum:C
  Windmill: C
  Critical:9
  
  MAGIC
  Healing:6
  Icebolt:6
  Magic mastery:7
  
  LIFE
  Refining: 8
  Playing instrument: B
  Musical Knowledge: B
  Composing: 9
  Taming: 9
  
  BEAST
  Fury of Connous: Rank 4
  
  So, Im not very good at leveling, (15 rebirths since I played, making this 16 since its been like a month) What do you think i should rank? I was thinking of WM, but maybe I should wait for G13 classes? Do we have an idea of when G13 is coming out?

  Max out Refine since it'll help anything you do besides Magic or Alchemy(?). Before that, try to get Range to 1 and Magnum to 9 just to make leveling easier on yourself. Also, try using Metallurgy to raise refine since your money should probably be used to buy some cheap enchants to buff up your damage without making Refine too hard.
  
  After Refine, I'd just max out magnum and critical and maybe WM alongside both since WM can help in some situations, and because Will=Crit, and Crit is a must for any Elf.

  And I'd recommend that you finish refine. If you don't want to spend your money on ores, just go metalurgy and refine it up. Both provide dex and it's not too boring. Plus you can find gems. Of course, you can always just spend your money.
  
  As for a combat skill, I'd say at least get WM to rank 5. Rank 1 if you're feeling bold. Work on some crit, and if you finish refine go ahead and rank your ranged skills.
  
  You could wait for classes, it wouldn't hurt. They should be released sometime this month. I'd say within the next two weeks.

  Oh yeah, refine, thats always fun lol, what I had been doing before, is because I started with an elf, I bought a human card, and got another elf, and just used its ap to rank metallurgy so I could use my main AP for other stuff, like Refining, should I keep doing that or no?

  You eventually max every skill so just raise Metallurgy on your Elf. Plus, it adds dex and makes transferring ores less of a problem.

  Like everyone else said, refine! Lol You should hold off training any other dex skills until that's done. However once done, rank range/magnum/crash shot/support shot/mirage missile >w> Elves are splendid archers, you should make that your focus, not trying to force out melee :) Critical hit would also be a good skill to passively train and rank up.
  
  Also, I can see you want to rank windmill up :P At the very least, wait until classes for the 2x trianing. The stat gain from it can be good, and there's nothing wrong with a good windmill in a pinch. However refine and then dex skills should probably be priority :)
  
  Until refine is r1, you probably shouldn't raise anything that increases your dex though :s

  Well before you use your free RB, what's your current level and exploration level? if there is room for more levels you should go for it.

  I'd suggest you to rank magnum to 5/1 before any other combat skills, including critical hit. Having a strong hitting skill makes everything much less of an annoyance.

  As everyone else said, refine, as its a pain to rank as your dex gets higher, but rank some range so that you can at least get the ap from leveling to be able to rank refine. Also, rank critical as you play, don't focus on it. Once its available to rank, rank it. As cookies said as well, rank magnum. It doesn't have to be your first combat skill you rank, but it sure helps due to the fact that elves can spam magnum.

  If you're doing refine like everybody here is suggesting, then I'll mail you our scarecrow set again. And if you plan on farming again, just buy your ores to get refining over with because they really have gone down in value since you left.

  Sweet. My mailbox has 36 things in it I think, all my pets are full, as well as my inventories and banks....SO I have to clear some room first.
