Recently i been wondering what skills should i have or what equipment should i be using. So far i have most rank 1 melee skills rank 1 refine, rank 1 ar, rank d weaving, and working on magnum shot. my base str is 214 and base dex is 183. The problem comes when i realize all the life skills i need and with g13 coming out it's becoming really confusing on what skills i should care about. So my question is should i give up on my range for now and start working on skills to boost str? and if so what skills in what order should i do everything this would help me alot.
Next as far as equipment goes i have a full set of val unenchanted, 2 fully upgraded board swords and a llb that i'm working on upgrading if i wanna be able to tank and dish out alot of dmg what weapons should i have? Should i keep my upgraded broadswords and my 2ndary weapon a llb or should i cap my str and move on to using 2 hands and broadswords?
Lastly i have an ego gladius that i don't use since i wanna be a dmg whore should i kill my ego for a 2hand or claymore or should i just keep it and upgrade it!!!!!
I know this is alot of stuff but i really need to help sorry for asking for all this :what:

You say that you have a lot of your melee done. Can you list exactly which are all r1, because if FH isn't, you can get that up. Another skill for strength is Carpentry, but that is a life skill also. I'd say you could finish up your melee, then go back to range to get your dex up for warhammers.
As far as your equipment goes, you can keep your broads mostly. Your dex isn't THAT bad, so you could pick up an Elven Short Bow, or if you ever get more, get a Long Bow if you want more range and stun. 2handers are of course, mostly used for smash, but you may prefer the longer stun that they have in multi aggro situation, as well as making sure smashmilling won't end up with said monster smacking you in deadly (Happened to me at times with that Cuilin Golem. Rock Hard Hitting Pile Of Pebbles >.>). As for your ego, remember that g13 makes upgraded swords get even CLOSER to 2handed ego's in damage. I can make a Claymore with 43% crit and 196 max if I go for the S type upgrades and use The Rich Crocodile. Of course, this is with Sword Mastery, so 2handed ego's will still outclass them in damage, but the gap is MUCH smaller now for only level 40 stats. I say you should keep the gladius ego and make it stronger, as dual-wield becomes the King for damage. Are you more of a wmer or smasher?

I have fh already ..I got every big melee skill maxed... expect charge but it's rank 7. I like wm i like wming but i wanna do more dmg smashwise my normal smash with broadswords is 3k and i guess thats fine for now. as for a 2ndary weapon what would be better i like my range but it's slower killing i'd like to be able to kill things really fast. And skills i'ma stop working on magumshot and go with something else but what else i wanna do crazy damage and be able to 1hit alot of things

If you want to kill things with range REALLY fast, you're going to need a lot more dex than what you already have. 300+ is ideal, but mainly you should aim for 300+ max with a Bow. Thats going to cost lots of Life Skills, though g13 makes it a bit easier with Bow Mastery and Sword Mastery adding 19 dex each, for a total of 38. You like windmill, but you don't want your smash to be weaker, so you should stick to the Gladius ego and not get a B@stard Sword for the higher max, yet much lower crit. Though, if you could get Nx often, you could get a Muramasa ego, provided you fed your ego enough for it to be strong. I'd recommend getting Magnum up to r1 if you still want to be an archer. It's a lot slower than Elf mag, but it can still get the job done. By the way, what are your ego glad's stats if I may ask?

Well tanking in this game doesn't exist without high mana and high ranked mana shield. Defense/protection/HP just don't cut it. If you don't want to range, don't work on it. With the new G13 skills coming out you should be focusing on masteries. You like broadswords so get sword mastery when it comes out. When you finish that get blunt mastery, even if you dont use blunts. The skill gives 19 strength and it's relatively easy to train. You should focus your enchants on maximum damage (or strength if you are melee focused). I'd also work on that charge skill since it's going to be uncapped soon (which means MORE strength!)
As for equipment specifically, valencia and dustin armors can be costly to repair, additionally heavy armors in general are going to start becoming less efficient for high damage enchants. You could always switch to light armor for that balance of damage and protection. If you must have a heavy armor, I wouldn't suggest one with "passive defense" unless you can afford the repairs (10k gold per point!).
As previously mentioned, you like broadswords. These are good swords, in the future battle swords should out-class them, but not until G14 or so. Stick with your broad swords. Damage enchant them, Raven is a good enchant as is Spike if you're daring. Stiff/Lizard/Lion hunter are good prefixes if you can get a hold of them.
For a secondary weapon, a bow is always a nice thing to have. Something fast would be good. However if archery isn't your style, maybe pick up a blunt weapon like a war-hammer (since I recommend you get blunt mastery in g13 anyway for the str) you could wield that + a shield for defensive situations.
But of course if you want to go range, that's a whole other story. I can go into detail about that too if you wish.
Hope this helps!
