That's Van Wilder. The Pet Detective is Ace Ventura. Two completely different characters, don't know how you can get them mixed up. D:
But I'd like to see this movie, anything that can strike controversy from CNN has got to be good, or otherwise they wouldn't make a fuss about it.

I saw this movie when it came out. I'm one of physical humor and osht moments and Kickass really provided it. Though I still love Zombieland more, in terms of physical comedy.
Actually, my major gripe in the movie is that the title character, Kickass, basically got his spotlight stolen from by Big Daddy and Hit Girl.

Saw Kick Ass a couple nights ago and loved it. Personally I compare it to The Incredibles -- while the aforementioned film tells the story of the "end" of the superhero age, Kick Ass tells the story of its beginning.
And yes, Hit Girl is one of my favorite action characters to date.

Well his major role was in the creation of the "super hero" movement, that doesn't mean he's the best one out there :/
anyways, I like how the movie stayed sorta realistic to the fact that any loser can go out there and be a hero, but that doesn't mean he'll be incredibly tough and a great fighter :O

He sure can take a beating and still manage to have courage to get back out there again. I don't know if thats stupidity or bravery.

A little bit of both, remember in the movie he said that you need to be a little bit naive to be a superhero.

Not really, the cat is kind of bored of the villain being some sort of "Evil version" of the hero
Even then, Iron Man didn't excite the cat
