Hello Summoners!
Over the weekend we were informed of an unfortunate incident where a Riot Games employee acted inappropriately during a game he was streaming. Riot employees are held to a high standard and after thorough review of the incident we have determined that the employee’s actions were both inappropriate and outside the confines of Riot Games internal policy. We hold our employees to higher standards of discretion and professionalism, and take matters that impact our community extremely seriously. We have since unbanned the account that was negatively impacted by this regrettable turn of events.
As a result of this unfortunate situation the employee in question is no longer with Riot Games. Additionally, we will be reviewing internal policy and training procedures to take steps to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.
Thanks,
Steve "Pendragon" Mescon
Director of Community Relations
Riot Games Inc

The admin streams himself playing LoL
including this specific match
he fired off f-bombs in game at the guy autolocking
and banned the guy for 1 month after the match

Well, was it justified? If the other guy was being a jerk then a ban would have been a good idea.

LoL Policy is official warn (like system given) > 1 day ban
The guy was given a month for feeding even though the scores showed he had the best K/D ratio on the team.
Also, the admin provoked the guy, harrassed him, called him an ignorant **** and a gook

also found the screenshots
since the support staff have the chatlogs and such
It pretty much verified this as the true story, resulting in him being fired.

Ok, here's how it happened.
This guy auto-locks a champion. Lots of people do that. He happens to be playing with a Riot Employee.
This Riot Employee loses his cool, calling the guy several nasty things and even using a racial slur... WHILE STREAMING.
He then bans this guy for an entire month for some BS reason. This guy has done nothing wrong at all. Sure, auto-locking is annoying, but it's not against the rules.
So, the guy who was banned calls out the Riot Employee on the forums. Suddenly entire LoL forum is flooded with complaints about the Riot Employee. Riot Employee tries to delete all evidence of the situation (He even undoes the ban), but someone had screenshots of the entire thing from the stream, so he fails.
Pendragon is left with no choice but to ban the employee.
So the guy loses his job because he got mad at a video game. Pretty stupid of him.

Riot had to take action because the spotlight was on them.
Riot was planning to introduce their tribunal system - a way for players to judge abusive players.
It would have been hypocritical if Riot did nothing over this incident.
The game media was also picking up this story as well so it would haven been bad PR for them.
I understand that Psyonichero was an intern so something had to give.
Since Riot is a small new company they had to think about their future.

"LoL Admin Fired for Abusing Powers" = "LOLAdmin, fired for abusing powers"
I just had to do that.
And that's pretty fail for someone who's serving the players.
