This type of stuff always happens. On every continent, on an almost daily basis.
I'm not sure if the actual occurence rate is higher, or if it's just the media giving it more coverage, along with the interwebs and things like facebook/twitter spreading news globally within minutes, or a combination of the two.
Basically don't start building your fallout shelters yet, until most animals all over the place start to die.

The story you linked to is about the birds, this one is about cows and seals.
The focus of the article is that technology is what's causing the "sudden mass animal deaths." Even if your article was about a mass butterfly death my article would still apply.

Yeah but since then, the mass animal deaths continued to happen at a frightening pace, so I figured it would be worthwhile to post another article about it.

The point being that it only
seems like it's continuing at a frightening pace.
The same news coverage explosion has happened before

It's the same effect as the H1N1 flu...
It looked liek it was super deadly and if you caught it you would die... it's what the news made it sound like.
Then you compared the H1N1 deaths for that year VS the number of regular flu deaths on average any other year (including that one) and it was a lot more.
It's all about what is reported, and how it's reported.

I have to agree with Intex and Osay. Animals die in a large number every day, just like humans do. It's the cycle of life, people are just now starting to pay attention and come up with a mass of theories.

Somewhere in the world a necrophiliac who's into bestiality just hit gold.
