@Cynic: I just don't understand why you butted in here and ranted at me, when you have nothing to do with this. Just saying.

If you're having this problem, chances are, you're not the only one.
We're trying to help; you can't just blame us for something that doesn't work due to YOUR computer malfunctioning.
Uh, yeah, it's just my computer. >_>
1) Did you really restart everything, even Nagle and your MTU?
I dunno how you restart them...but i'm pretty sure that's not the issue.
2) Update your drivers. The best way to test this is to get another computer, install Mabi on that, and see if it works.
Mine are all up to date. Works fine on my dad's computer.
3) What message does it give when it (client.exe) shuts down?
The same one that was posted in the image a few posts up. Basically just a Windows error message.
4) Open up "taskmgr". Does the process "Client.exe" disappear when the game shuts down?
It's not there.
5) Check if any of your anti-virus programs are blocking the client.
It's not, it's even set as an exception.
6) Not likely, but if you use an internet with ports disabled, you won't be able to log on. I suggest that you check your internet.
Nope, not the Internet.

So um....you reinstalled yeah?
Did you make sure to uninstall with the uninstaller?
If not, the registries are maybe interfering.

Nope, I always use the uninstaller.

If it worked before, try doing a System Restore. Though if you do this, you may lose some changes that you've done to your computer from the point after the restoration point. Try to restore it to near recent time, but a reasonable distance away from when it started not working.
Might be something that's interfering with the execution of the client, but did you also try uninstalling and reinstalling it to a different folder as well?

I tried a different folder and it worked, but I had only installed it somewhere else because I was getting an error with the installation path [a restart fixed it]
As for a system restore...I think it's been two months. I can't really restore that far back. :\
