So is anyone in Nation staying in a dorm at a university? If so do you have a dorm mate?
I have one. I'm about an inch away from ripping her throat out. Not only is she the exact opposite of me in EVERY WAY (seriously...not joking at all) but she's loud in everything she does. I personally hate really loud people, especially loud eaters. She is everything I do not like.
Anyone else have a dorm mate from hell?

Have you ever told her?
If that doesn't/hasn't worked, try transferring to a different room?

We've talked about it. She wasn't actually even suppose to be my dormie, but she didn't like her other dormmates poster of two girls making out so she wanted to switch. Every room in this building has two people in it. Trust me, no one is going to want to be with this girl.

And there is your solution. Go put up a poster of 2 girls making out and she'll leave :D

Because that was already talked about, if I put one up I would be the one getting in trouble since it would violate the dormie contract. Ugh.

Oh College Humor how I love thee....
So here at my dorm quiet hours go from 10 p.m-8 a.m. Ten rolls around and she makes a phone call. This girl is so loud you can hear her down the hall. For an hour I listened to her going on and on and on about pointless mundane crap, while also throwing in some holier than thou ****e. Needless to say I have a migraine. Thankfully she must have gotten the hint after me glaring at her for the last half hour that she needed to either shut the eff up or leave.

What exactly does your roommate contract state? Is she not violating it by being bothersome to you?

I once had a roommate. Freshmen year.
We got along pretty well, but then he decided to join a frat and all my days after that became miserable. You know, the hazing he had to endure (he smelled really bad some days) and just his stupid friends always in my room, especially at night when I wanted to sleep.
I didn't complain much about it, until one day when I grabbed all his smelly clothes, put them in a bag and told him he was gonna have to wash them 'cause I was tired of our room smelling like... whatever it smelled (some spicy chicken, ketchup, peanut butter mix... they made them bathe in it and not shower for days...). He listened and washed them that day.
Eventually, he got accepted into the frat and things settled down. He'd invite me to their parties, but I was always like, nty. In a courteous way, of course. Frat deals were never my thing.
Oh and he started dating a girl mid-Winter semester and hearing them make out while I was trying to sleep was always so annoying. She used to be in the room everyday! It was annoying as hell.
The next year, my sophomore year, I got a room for myself. We're still pretty good friends.

No not really she isn't, since I can't necessarily tell her to stop being herself.
@Phunkie-I was originally suppose to have my own dorm room. She leaves one room that has lesbians kissing in it just to end up in a bisexuals room ranting about how gross it is. I really hope my junior year I have my own room. Or at least a more open roommate.

My room mate in my first year of college was great.
See we never got along, but we respected each other and shared each other's stuff well.
Never got in each other's way. Just kept things nice and simple.
I could tell he initially wanted to be friends but it became pretty obvious that we're not exactly the kind of people to mix.

Yeah....I can understand that completely. Just got done hearing about her rant about her Spanish teacher giving food to the "illegals who are going to steal everything from me!". She basically said they could all just die in so many words.

I'd probably piss off my dorm mate so much...
On purpose, of course :D Really though, I'd probably just tell her to gtfo or tell your dorm higher-up person thing w/e.

Panda, you and me. Dorm mates.
It'll be like a sitcom! A Kangaroo and a Panda are forced to live under the same roof, hilarity ensues.

If I had to live with you, you'd run away after the first few days :'(

No, I think you'd be way more easy to handle.
